Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2019 spiegelt den typischen Stil der Appellation Pauillac fast schon exemplarisch wider. Wer die klassischen Eigenschaften eines Pauillacs - Fleisch, Saft, Intensität und Ausdruck - liebt, sollte hier zugreifen. In den letzten Jahren ist es Grand-Puy Ducasse gelungen, eine größere Harmonie mit der Frucht und Eleganz in seinen Weinen herzustellen, so dass man es hier nicht mehr mit einer unnahbaren Wein-Diva zu tun hat, sondern der Wein überzeugt auch durch seine große Aromen-Vielfalt.53% Cabernet Sauvignon und 47% Merlot stellen die Assemblage. Die Nase ist verführerisch süß, Dörrpflaumen, Kirsche, Schokolade, Brombeeren, schwarze Oliven, Mokka, Zeder, Bleistift, Tabak und Röstnoten vereinen sich zu einem cremigen Bukett. Der Gaumen ist kräftig, mit deutlichen aber nicht zu dominanten Tanninen, wie es früher bei Grand-Puy Ducasse oftmals der Fall war. Der Nachklang ist lang und intensiv.

Château Haut-Batailley 2020

Château Haut Batailley, geadelt als Cinquième Cru im Rahmen der Klassifikation von 1855, ist eines der ambitioniertesten Güter in Pauillac und der Flagschiff-Wein der alteingessenen Bordelaiser Familien Castéja und Borie-Manoux.Der Jahrgang kann als ganz klassischer Standard für das linker Ufer angesehen werden. Die Assemblage besteht aus 78% Cabernet Sauvignon und 22% Merlot. Doch lassen wir René Gabriel für die Beschreibung dieses Rebsaftes zu Worte kommen, der das Ganze sehr treffend charakterisiert:"Tiefes Purpur, satt in der Mitte, Granatschimmer am Rand. Grossartiges, tiefes, warmes Cabernetbouquet, viel dunkle Edelhölzer und Pflaumen. Selten kam ein Haut-Batailley bei der Primeurdegustation so finessenreich daher. Konzentrierter Gaumen, festes Extrakt, sehr guter Rückhalt und eine schon fast ungestüme Cabernetkraft ausstrahlend, fein körniges Finale, welches seine leicht bourgeoise Textur unterstreicht. Dieser Wein wird noch für viele, positive Überraschungen sorgen, nicht zuletzt wegen seinem grossartigen Alterungspotential. Ich persönlich stelle ihn über 2010er. Also ist dies ein ganz grosser Pauillac-Value heuer!"

Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AOP 2020

This classic Côtes du Rhône of the exceptional 2017 vintage is produced by one of the oldest wineries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (AOC) that was founded in 1936. The Château La Nerthe estate had its origins in the 14th century and owns one of the region’s largest vineyards, covering an area of more than 222 acres.Tradition and attention to detail are of central importance. The grapes are harvested by hand and subsequently sorted on the table. The fermentation is carried out in tubs for a period of 18 to 21 days with regular pumping over and pressing down of the pomace as well as daily tasting of the must in order to reach the optimal extraction level. For malolactic fermentation, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 was put in oak casks and subsequently aged in barrels for 12 months, giving the wine its deep red colour. On the nose, it offers fragrances of black currants, black tea and dried flowers. The wine is full-bodied, fruity and very rich on the palate, showing a great body. All in all, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 has a very pure and intense character.We recommend enjoying this wonderful Châteauneuf-du-Pape with lamb, beef or duck.

Château La Tour Carnet Grand Cru Classé AOC 2020

This Bordeaux from the Haut-Médoc appellation was classified as a 4ème Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. It is a wine for connoisseurs, a head of character with rough edges, which, however, become somewhat smoother with ageing. The quality of the wines from La Tour Carnet has risen extraordinarily since Bernard Magrez took over in 1999.The nose is beautifully fruity with hints of black pepper, blueberries, morello cherries and blackcurrants, as well as mushrooms, leather and prunes. It comes across as quite powerful and juicy, but still shows a rather impetuous power, which will, however, subside. Overall, there is a lot of potential here for a long wine life, with already well-integrated tannins and a long finish.It is recommended to decant the wine, which was vinified from 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 70% Merlot, at least one hour before drinking.

Château Labégorce Margaux AOC 2018

Château Labégorce, located at the northern end of Margaux, is back on the map of the great wines of this appellation, and the 2018 vintage is no exception, quite the contrary. The vineyard extends over 70 hectares of vines, surrounded by such prestigious neighbors as Château Margaux and Château Lascombes.The cuvée consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine matures for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 40-50% of which are new barrels. In the glass, Château Labégorce 2018 is a deep purple-garnet with a black center. The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of ripe blackcurrants, cherries and cassis, accompanied by spicy notes such as tobacco, exotic woods and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky texture and well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and characterized by a subtle fruity sweetness and a pleasant freshness.Château Labégorce 2018 harmonizes perfectly with hearty dishes such as grilled beef, lamb chops, game dishes or stews. Matured cheese or black pudding also go well with this wine. For a special taste experience, we recommend pairing it with truffle aioli chicken hearts or wild boar with wild herb sauce.This wine has excellent ageing potential. Château Labégorce Margaux AOC 2019

Consisting of 46% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, Château Labégorce is a model wine from the Margaux appellation with a great price-performance ratio. 2019 was a particularly good year on the left bank of the Gironde, enabling this vineyard, located on the northern edge of Margaux, to produce an exceptional grape juice of great precision and intensity.The 2019 Labégorce was matured in French oak, 40% of which was new barrels. Lots of blackcurrant, dark fruit, tobacco, coffee beans, dark cherry, chocolate, menthol, liquorice and beautiful roasted aromas create a harmonious aromatic picture, supported by fine and polished tannins. Château Lanessan Haut-Médoc 2020

Bereits 1793 kaufte der Bordelaiser Weinhändler Jean Delbos das Rebland auf außerordentlich gutem Terroir, gelegen zwischen so renommierten Châteaux wie Gruaud-Larose und Beychevelle. Der trockene Rotwein wird vom Cabernet Sauvignon dominiert, mit etwa 1/3 Anteil Merlot und etwas Petit Verdot.Ein ganz klassischer und typischer Haut-Médoc Bordeaux, der durchaus etwas Lagerung verträgt und bis zum Jahre 2030 immer noch weiter zulegen wird. Paz Espejo, die im Jahre 2009 als Managerin das Gut übernommen hat, hat mit dem 2016er Jahrgang eine kleine Wein-Ikone geschaffen, die dem traditionellen Bild Bordeauxs huldigt. Gute Frucht, mittlerer Körper, durchaus präsente Tannine, viel rote Beeren, Kirsche, Cassis und eine wahre Fundgrube von Waldnoten bestimmen den Charakter des Château Lanessan Haut-Médoc, der dem Jahrgang entsprechend eine Hohe Qualität bietet. Der Abgang ist beeindruckend lang. Dieser noch sehr junge Wein aus Frankreich profitiert von einer Dekantierung von 1-2 Stunden und passt hervorragend zu Lamm, Steak, Hack- oder Schmorbraten.

Der historisch anmutende Name ist übrigens gar nicht so alt, wie er klingt. Das Château hieß bis 1989 nur "Ladouys" und wurde vom Computer-Spezialisten Christian Thiéblot 1989 gekauft, der dem Château den Namen seiner Ehefrau Lilian Ladouys voranstellte.André Kunz beschreibt den Wein anläßlich der Fassprobe wie folgt: "59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot) Würziges, herbes, tiefes Bouquet, schwarze Beeren, Kohle, Edelhölzer, Korinthen, dunkler Tabak. Dichtverwobener, cremiger Gaumen mit kräftiger, süsser Frucht, viel gutem Tannin, muskulöser Struktur, vielfältiger, dunkler Aromatik, langer, aromatischer, herber Abgang".Beachten Sie bitte, dass Weine aus der Appellation Saint Estèphe Langläufer sind, die eine gewisse Zeit benötigen, um sich richtig zu entwickeln.
