Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AOP

This classic Côtes du Rhône comes from one of the oldest vineyards in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (AOC), which was founded in 1936. Château La Nerthe dates back to the 14th century and, with over 90 hectares, has one of the largest vineyards in the region.

Tradition and great attention to detail are very important here. The grapes are harvested by hand and then sorted on the table. Fermentation takes place in vats for 18 to 21 days, with regular pumping over and plunging of the cap, and daily tasting of the must to check that exactly the right degree of extraction is achieved. After undergoing malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2021 is matured in barrel for 12 months.

The wine rewards this with a deep red color. On the nose, the aroma of blackcurrants, black tea and dried flowers. The palate is full, fruity and with plenty of fat and body. Overall, this dry red wine has a very pure and intense character.

Château La Nerthe zählt zu den traditionsreichsten Weingütern der Appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape im südlichen Rhône-Tal und blickt auf eine Weinbaugeschichte bis ins 16. Jahrhundert zurück. Das renommierte Weingut nahe Avignon bewirtschaftet rund 90 Hektar eigene Weinberge und gehört zu den Qualitätsführern der Region. Geprägt von den typischen „Galets roulés“ – großen Kieselsteinen – sowie sandigen und kalkhaltigen Böden entstehen hier charakterstarke Rhône-Weine mit Tiefe und Eleganz.

Château La Nerthe arbeitet seit vielen Jahren nach biologischen Richtlinien und setzt konsequent auf nachhaltigen Weinbau, um das Terroir der Rhône authentisch widerzuspiegeln. Die Cuvées basieren auf den klassischen Rebsorten der Region, darunter Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre sowie weiße Varietäten wie Roussanne und Grenache Blanc. Durch selektive Handlese, sorgfältige Vinifikation und differenzierten Ausbau in Holzfässern entstehen strukturierte, lagerfähige Weine mit komplexer Aromatik.

Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block 1,5 Liter Magnum
The Boekenhoutskloof Chocolate Block is a blend of predominantly Syrah (Shiraz) and smaller proportions of Grenache Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Viognier. Marc Kent, winemaker from Boekenhoutskloof in South Africa, created a wine with rich aromas of black cherries, cardamom, sweet tobacco, espresso and a hint of perfume with his "Chocolate Block". The dark fruit character is complemented by gentle nuances of ripe plums, violets, black olives, cloves and licorice. This is complemented by finely integrated cocoa-powdered tannins. On the palate, it offers a very good structure, refreshing acidity and a smoky minerality. John Platter awarded this noble and full-bodied wine 4.5 stars.The dry red wine matured for 16 months in French oak barrels. The Château La Nerthe estate is one of the most venerable wineries of the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and with its 222 acres of vineyards one of the largest estates in this region. The estate’s history dates back to the 14th century. Lenotti Massimo Veneto Rosso IGT
The Lenotti Massimo is produced in a limited edition, for which oenologist Giancarlo Massimo Lenotti guarantees a meticulous selection. The Corvina and Sangiovese grape varieties as well as other ancient ones such as Dindarella, Rebo and Oseleta are harvested in Lenotti’s “La Pra” vineyard, together producing this fine red wine from Northern Italy. Oseleta is an autochthonous red wine variety from the Valpolicella region. The phylloxera epidemic nearly killed it off completely, but today it is cultivated again in places. The Lenotti Massimo has an expressive, elegant bouquet. This red wine is characterized by notes of vanilla and the high-quality wood in which it is refined. On the palate, the Lenotti Massimo is complex, harmonious, dry, velvety and full-bodied. The grapes dried in boxes for 40 to 50 days. To refine this red wine, it was aged partly in larger oak casks and partly in French barriques. The Lenotti Massimo is an ideal accompaniment to roasts, red meat, game and aged cheese.
