Cantina Tramin Loam Cabernet-Merlot Riserva 2022

The Loam Cabernet Merlot Riserva consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. This is a cuvée that could have been produced in the Bordeaux region. The method of ageing is also similar to that used in Bordeaux. After a meticulous harvest by hand, the grapes are fermented in large wooden casks at a temperature of 82.4 °F, leading to an intense aroma and colour, amongst other things. The ageing was carried out in small barriques for a period of 12 months. Subsequently, the wine matured for six months in large wooden casks. It was put on the market only after ageing another six months in the bottle. The special quality of the grapes, the interaction of the different grape varieties and the careful production guarantee the longevity of the Loam. This wine will be extraordinary even in ten years. The Cantina Tramin Loam Cabernet-Merlot Riserva is fruity and well-balanced. The intense but fine tannins are wonderfully integrated, giving the wine power, balance and an enormous depth.The Loam is a ruby red in colour. On the nose, it offers fruity, slightly astringent aromas of wild cherries, chocolate and various berries, complemented by notes of wild herbs. Each sip caresses the palate with aromas of red berries, dried fruit and subtle hints of cedar. The tannins underpin the finish with a blend of mineral and salty nuances.Enjoy the Cantina Tramin Loam with roasts with dark sauces, game or hearty grilled meat. It also goes beautifully with various blue cheeses.

Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage 2017

Die Familie Basson gibt dem Wein ihren Namen. Auf dessen Farm werden die Reben gepflegt und bearbeitet. Nach dem Vergären in offenen Edelstahltanks wird der Wein für 14 Monate in Fässern aus französischer Eiche der 2. und 3. Füllung und dann für weitere 24 Monate in der Flasche gereift. Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage duftet nach einer Gewürzmischung und dunkler Pflaume mit einem Hauch von Leder. Den Gaumen umgeben interessante Aromen von Gewürznelken und pikanten Rauchnoten. Dieser Rotwein ist herrlich weich und mit sanften Tanninen ausgestattet. Das Finale zeigt sich fest strukturiert und langanhaltend.Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage ist geradezu gemacht für ein pikantes Essen vom Grill oder einen Wildschweinbraten.

Casisano Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG 2017

Traditionell und nach strengsten DOCG Regeln wurde der wunderbare Rotwein hergestellt. Die Mazeration fand für etwa 25 Tage auf der Schale statt. 3 Jahre lang vollzog sich die Reifung in slowenischen Eichenfässern mit einem maximalen Fassungsvermögen von 60 hl. Nach der Flaschenabfüllung musste der Wein weitere 6 Monate reifen.Die Farbe des Casisano Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG ist tiefrubinrot mit granatroten Reflexen. In der Nase zeigt sich die elegante und frische Komplexität der fruchtigen und würzigen Noten, die typisch für den Sangiovese Grosso sind. Den Gaumen verwöhnt der Rotwein mit reichen Früchten und samtigen Tanninen. Der Abgang ist erstaunlich lang.Der Wein gilt als perfekter Begleiter zu Wildgerichten, gegrilltem roten Fleisch oder reifem Käse bei einer Trinktemperatur von 18°C.

Casisano Colombaiolo Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 2016

Bei kontrollierter Temperatur von 28/30° fand die Fermentation in 70 hl Holzfässern statt. Während der 20-25 Tage andauernden Gärung wurde die Maische täglich umgepumpt. Danach erfolgte eine 4 jährige Reifung in 18 und 25 Litern slowenischen Eichenfässern. Nachdem der Casisano Colombaiolo Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva DOCG in Flaschen abgefüllt wurde, reifte dieser weitere 6 Monate.Im Glas zeigt sich der Rotwein in einem intensiven rubinrot. Seine Geruchsnoten sind komplex und fein. Aufgrund der langen Reifung verbinden sich süße Gewürze und Noten von Frucht. Am Gaumen ist der Casisano Colombaiolo Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva DOCG streng mit reifen und samtigen Tanninen. Struktur und Eleganz sind im Gleichgewicht, der Abgang ist frisch und harmonisch.Ein besonderer Genuss ist dieser Rotwein bei einer Trinktemperatur von 18°C und ein wunderbarer Begleiter zu roten Fleischsorten, Schmorgerichten, Wildgeflügel, Pilzen oder Trüffeln.

Castellare di Castellina I Sodi di San Niccolo is an impressive Italian red wine from Tuscany, produced by the renowned Castellare di Castellina winery. It is a so-called Supertuscan, made from the indigenous grape varieties Sangiovese and Malvasia Nero. The name Sodi is derived from a word used by Tuscan farmers to describe soils that are too steep to be worked with machines. So everything is worked by hand. San Niccolo, on the other hand, is the name of a church located on the estate.The I Sodi di San Niccolo presents itself with a deep red color and an intense bouquet of ripe dark fruits such as cherries, blackcurrants and plums. These aromas are accompanied by notes of spices, cedar wood and tobacco, which give the wine additional complexity. On the palate, I Sodi di San Niccolo is both powerful and elegant. It is full-bodied, with sweet and silky tannins and a balanced acidity that gives the wine a great freshness and makes the taste pleasant and crisp. The wine has a remarkable structure and a long, noble finish.The I Sodi San Niccolo from Castellare di Castellina was fermented in steel tanks and then matured 2/3 in new barriques and 1/3 in used barriques. After maturing in the bottle for 10 months, it was finally launched on the market.Castellare di Castellina I Sodi di San Niccolo is an excellent accompaniment to sophisticated dishes. It tastes great with grilled meat, game dishes, mature cheese and hearty pasta dishes.

Catena Malbec 2022

Die Weinberge des argentinischen Weinguts Bodega Catena Zapata erstrecken sich in Lagen bis zu 1500 Metern hoch. Die Trauben für den Catena Malbec stammen aus verschiedenen Lagen und ausgewählten Parzellen der Mendoza-Berge. Sie werden von Hand verlesen und separat verarbeitet. Der Rotwein wird für rund 12-14 Monate in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenholzfässern ausgebaut.Das Bukett ist reich an Frucht und Würze. Hier treffen Kirschen und Brombeeren auf Kaffeearomen, Tabaknoten und pfeffrige Akzente. Am Gaumen zeigt der elegante Wein eine saftige Fruchtfülle mit seidiger Textur und feinkörnigen Tanninen. Der Abgang ist lang und fruchtig. Servieren Sie den Gaumenschmeichler beim Grillen. Besonders gut passt er zu argentinischem Ribeye-Steak.

Chamonix Troika 2018

Ein Spitzenwein aus Franschhoek: Der Chamonix Troika ist ein Blend aus 49% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot und 13% Petit Verdot. Der rubinrote, trockene Wein duftet anregend nach Vanille, süßen, reifen Kirschen, Brombeeren und Gewürzen. Christine Rudman schreibt in John Platter’s Wine Guide von „Glänzenden Beeren, Gewürzen, Bleistift und Zigarrenkiste“. Sie vergibt stolze 93 Punkte (4,5 Sterne) für diesen herausragenden Rotwein aus Südafrika. Am Gaumen ist der Chamonix Troika gut strukturiert, voll und rund, mit einer angenehmen Geschmeidigkeit. Wieder ist die tolle Beerigkeit merklich. Feine Harmonie und aromatische Länge. „Kreiert für die Lagerung im Keller, aber die Tannine sind zugänglich“, urteilt Rudman. Dieser Wein hinterlässt schon in jungen Jahren Eindruck, wird aber seine Hochzeit in 10 bis 15 Jahren erreicht haben. Der „Bordeaux-Blend“ reifte für 18 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern, wobei zu 45% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Um die Komplexität des Weines zu erhöhen und die Vorzüge der einzelnen Rebsorten voll zur Entfaltung zu bringen, wurden die einzelnen Chargen erst kurz vor dem Abfüllen in die Flaschen assembliert. Château Batailley 2018

The Grand Vin from Château Batailley is one of the great classics from Pauillac in Bordeaux and impressively embodies the nobility and longevity of this traditional appellation. Year after year, the estate, which is one of the oldest in Pauillac, produces a red wine that masterfully combines finesse, structure and authenticity.Clearly dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with 74%, 23% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, 60% of the 2018 Batailley was matured in new wooden barrels.It is an extremely elegant wine, with aromas of cassis, tobacco, graphite, dark berries, black chocolate and mint. Lots of structure on the palate, powerful bouquet, creamy, lots of fine tannins. The finish is long and fresh.Ready to drink from 2026, this wine should be given some time to fully blossom. It will then be able to delight connoisseurs with its multifaceted and deep aromas for almost 20 years.
