In the 2019 vintage, the Shiraz grape variety is predominant, giving the wine light notes of raspberries and a fine tannin structure. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes produce lovely blackberry aromas and ensure fullness and structure on the palate. The ‘The Uprising’ is rounded off by a smaller percentage of Grenache, giving the wine its spice and sweet fruitiness. On the nose, the wine offers intense notes of mocha, caramel and baking flavours.Like all wines of the 19 crimes line, ‘The Uprising’ has a history of its own:The man depicted on the label was a member of the Fenian brotherhood from Skibbereen in Ireland who played a major role in the Fenian movement right from the beginning.
