This wonderfully intense red wine from Apulia offers majestic notes of blueberries and blackberries, well rounded off by hints of Mediterranean herbs. Olianas Cannonau di Sardegna DOC 2021

Der Olianas Cannonau di Sardegna DOC aus dem sardinischen Gebiet Anfiteatro gedeiht in einem Tal, das ganztägig der südlichen Sonne ausgesetzt ist. Dadurch werden die Trauben mit viel Frucht, Struktur und Komplexität versorgt. Der immer gleichzeitig vorherrschende Wind sorgt für einen kühlenden Ausgleich. Das Besondere an diesem Wein ist sein biodynamischer Ansatz. Es werden weder Enzyme noch Reinzuchthefen bei der Gärung verwendet. Etwa ein Drittel des Mostes wird in Amphoren bis zu 25 Tage auf den Schalen vergoren. Das erreicht die intensiv dunkelrote Farbe. Die Reifung erfolgte für etwa 8 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern zweiter und dritter Füllung. Um den natürlichen Charakter des Weins zu erhalten wurde bewusst auf eine Klärung verzichtet. In der Nase finden sich Aromen von Waldfrüchten und rauchige Noten. Am Gaumen ist der Olianas Cannonau di Sardegna DOC frisch, rund und sehr lebendig. Die gut eingebundenen Tannine und die angenehme Säure wirken ausgewogen und konzentriert.

Olianas Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 2022

Die Trauben für den Olianas Vermentino di Sardegna DOC stammen von den Weinbergen Murvonis und Porruddu. Die Böden aus diesen Weinbergen bestehen aus lehmigem Ton und sandigen Mergelstein, die einerseits für Frische und Eleganz sorgen und andererseits dem Wein Komplexität und Struktur verleihen. Die Reben wurden im Jahr 2007 gepflanzt und bringen einen relativ niedrigen Ertrag von 1,5 Tonnen pro Hektar.In der Nase eine schöne Zitrusfruchtnote und ein Duft nach roter Grapefruit, ergänzt durch Noten von Brotrinde und verschiedenen Gewürzen. Belebend frisch am Gaumen ist der Olianas Vermentino di Sardegna DOC ein runder, wohl ausblancierter Wein.

Orma Toscana Rosso IGT 2020

The 2020 vintage of Orma Toscana Rosso is another red wine from Tuscany that has been showered with praise by international wine critics. The Super Tuscan from the Sette Ponti winery easily clears the high 90-point hurdle in the wine ratings year after year. For the 2020 vintage of Orma, it received 94 points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 97 points from James Suckling and 96 points in Falstaff, among others.The Supertuscan is a blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The bouquet of the dark ruby-red Orma is simply fantastically multi-faceted. Monica Larner writes in the Wine Advocate of notes of "wild plum, blackberry jam, dark spices and dried tobacco". Suckling judges: "Tobacco, sage and rosemary come into their own, along with red currants and cassis", while Falstaff chooses these words: "Intense nose with notes of cloves, some mint, fine blackberry, slightly earthy components in the background."On the palate, the Italian red wine from Sette Ponti, located around 65 kilometers south-east of Florence, is dry and incredibly dense and powerful, with masterfully integrated tannins and exceptional roundness. "Full-bodied and yet polished, with a solid and dense mid-palate," is Suckling's verdict and Falstaff's praise: "Spreads out beautifully on the palate, has lots of fine, hearty tannins, beautiful juiciness, crisp fruit and a long finish."After tasting the Orma Toscana Rosso 2020, Monica Larner recommends: "A wine of this depth and magnitude is best served with a classic T-bone cut bistecca alla Fiorentina."If you are lucky enough to be able to open one of the limited-edition Super Tuscans, you should enjoy the Orma 2020 at a drinking temperature of 15 to 18 degrees. Aged for 14 months in barriques, this red wine from Tuscany is an outstanding drinking pleasure until 2042. Enjoy it to the full!

Palazzo Pisano Ripensato 'R' IGT 2020

We all know the famous Valpolicella wines?The "Ripensato" is a specialty of this region: it consists of 100% for the typical Valpolicella region grape Corvina. The wine is a kind of link between the normal red wine from the Valpolicella area and the Amarone.The Amarone is a Valpolicella vine from partially dried grapes. This means that the grapes stay on the vine until they are fully ripe, then they are read and a few weeks to air dry before being fermented.They lose aqueous constituents. This increases the concentration of the extract substances and sugar. The Amarone is therefore a full-bodied, soft rich, powerful wine.In our "Ripensato" however, the grapes are fermented and then for a few weeks layed on the skins of the Amarone after the Amarone was removed. The wine takes from the Amaronetrester extract and those ripe, jammy notes, which are typical of Amarone. The "Ripensato" is denser and richer than a normal red wine, has sweet tannins and more ripe fruit.Colour: intense cherry redSpicy aromas of dried fruit, fine tannins, rich, velvety.To substantial dishes of pork and beef, fried in dark sauce, grilled meat, lamb and venison, blue cheese, Muenster.
