Winemaker Stefano Chiarlo is rightly proud of the Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Barbera Nizza. "A wine with intense notes of raspberries and small red fruits, combined with a sweet and delicate spiciness. The taste experience is a rare balance (thanks to the vintage) between opulence, freshness and spiciness on the finish." International wine critics also agree that Barbera d'Asti is something special: 94 points in Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from James Suckling speak for themselves.The varietal Barbera combines notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and sweet tobacco in its bouquet. "Vinous aromas of freshly pressed grapes, fragrant blue flowers and ripe blueberries together with a hint of graphite and undergrowth" form the inviting bouquet, according to the Wine Enthusiast. Suckling attributes "plenty of elderberries, vanilla, plum stone and dark chocolate" to the Italian red wine.On the palate, the red wine from Piedmont is stimulatingly complex, with a full body, noticeable wood and an impressively fresh softness and roundness. The beautiful, fruity depth of aroma (cherries, blackberries) is also evident here. A great harmony develops in combination with the velvety tannins. The finish is pleasantly spicy.The ruby red wine from Piedmont matured for 12 months in large oak barrels. Enjoy the Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Barbera Nizza at a drinking temperature of 15 to 17 degrees. This Barbera is a perfect accompaniment to food. The Michele Chiarlo Le Madri Roero Arneis shines an intense straw color with green reflections in the glass. This popular white wine from Piedmont, created from the indigenous Arneis grape variety, offers an unmistakable bouquet. It combines notes of peach, tropical fruit and apples (Golden Delicious) with floral tones (acacia blossom), a fine scent of almonds and nuances of white pepper.On the palate, this dry white wine from Italy is smooth and wonderfully aromatic, with a good structure and mild acidity. Fresh yellow fruits and citrus fruits, especially limes, characterize the aroma. Der Michele Chiarlo Tortoniano Nebbiolo Barolo ist ein wunderbares Beispiel für diese hohe Qualität.Der Rotwein von Michele Chiarlo schimmert im Glas in einem mittleren rubinrot. Das Bukett des Tortoniano Nebbiolo Barolo ist herrlich facettenreich. Noten von roten Früchten, Rosenblättern und Wacholderbeeren harmonieren wunderbar mit einer feinen Würze und Nuancen von Röstaromen. „Erdig und köstlich, öffnet sich mit Aromen von reifen dunkelhäutigen Beeren, neuem Leder, Trüffel und gerebelten botanischen Kräutern“, urteilt Kerin O’Keefe, die im Wine Enthusiast 95 Punkte vergibt. James Suckling gibt dem Michele Chiarlo Tortoniano Nebbiolo Barolo 93 Punkte: „Reif und üppig, mit Johannisbeeren, Pflaumen und Gewürzen sowie Schokoladencharakter.“Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Nebbiolo aus dem Piemont üppig, mit guter Struktur und seidigen Tanninen, die dem jungen Barolo schon jetzt eine große Harmonie verleihen. Auch hier herrlich fruchtbetont: rote Pflaumen und Kirschen ergeben mit den samtigen Tanninen ein schönes Zusammenspiel, dazu kommen abrundende Noten von Brotkrusten und Karamell. Die Minderung der Pro-Stock-Erträge und das spätere Ernten der Trauben für eine ideale Reife waren Maßnahmen, die das Familienweingut bereits in den 1980er-Jahren umsetzte.Der Jahrgang 2016, schreibt Winemaker Stefano Chiarlo, wird für seine außergewöhnliche Qualität in Erinnerung bleiben.
