The multi-faceted bouquet of the Rustenberg Stellenbosch Chardonnay unites notes of apricots, orange peel and coconut, wonderfully complemented by nuances of marzipan, citrus fruit and oak. This Chardonnay is fresh, fruity and well-balanced on the palate, with lovely acidity and a fine finish offering peach aromas. This pure varietal Chardonnay matured for 12 months in 300-litre oak casks, of which one quarter were new barrels. Second-, third- and fourth-fill barrels were used as well.The Rustenberg estate is globally renowned for its Chardonnay wines. With this wine, the winery demonstrates once again its excellent skills in ageing Chardonnay wines in wood and finding the right balance between fruitiness, wood and acidity.

Saint Clair Family Estate was founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, viticultural pioneers in Marlborough since 1978, and has since become an internationally acclaimed brand, synonymous with distinctive quality wine from the north of New Zealand's South Island.This Saint Clair Origin Chardonnay was harvested at optimum ripeness from vineyards in the Marlborough region. Each site was deliberately selected to give the wine a special complexity. A delicious, fruit-driven wine with ripe peach, nashi pear, spice and hazelnuts with a long finish. It was matured in French and American oak barrels.The perfect accompaniment to seafood with cream sauces or light Thai coconut curry dishes. The Bodegas Salentein estate, located in the Uco Valley near Mendoza in Argentina, is one of the most renowned wineries in South America. Both the building itself with its underground cellar in the shape of a cross and the range of wines offered by the winery are impressive. The Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay is a pure varietal Chardonnay that matured for 6 months in American oak casks before it was bottled. It is a straw yellow in the glass. The wonderfully rich bouquet offers aromas of pears, apples, cloves, lime blossoms and tropical fruit such as honeydew melon and limes. On the palate, the wine is soft and ingratiatingly full-bodied, with a lovely melt. The subtle hints of tropical fruit are underpinned by discreet notes of oak. The opulent Chardonnay is well-balanced, showing a lovely acidity.Its long finish is soft, elegant and silky. We recommend enjoying the Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay on its own as an aperitif but also to accompany a good meal. It goes perfectly with crustaceans, salmon, pasta, poultry, veal and young cheeses.
