Rio Lindo Verdejo Oak Aged

The Rio Lindo Verdejo Oak Aged is made from 100% Verdejo grapes and comes from the Spanish wine region of Castilla-La Mancha. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the white wine matures for a few months in wooden barrels, which gives it additional structure and a little more body without masking the typical freshness of the grape.

In the glass, it has a light yellow color with green reflections, which underlines its lively fruitiness. White fruits unfold on the nose, accompanied by fine vanilla and wood tones. On the palate, the wine is balanced and round, with a long, delicate finish.

The Rio Lindo Verdejo Oak Aged is an excellent accompaniment to grilled fish, seafood or mature cheese and develops its full aroma spectrum at a drinking temperature of 8-10 °C.

Its citrus notes are accompanied by hints of elderberry and tropical fruit. The vegan wine has a tangy acidity, is full-bodied and lean.Around 200 years ago, a small stream ran through the town where Valladolid is now a sociable meeting place with many bars, but it only carried water when it had just rained and then dammed up to form a small pond. Frogs would settle there and croak in a variety of pitches. This explains the name Cantarranas = frog song. And if you drink enough of this wine, you can still hear the frogs today.Enjoy this Spanish white wine with summer salads, vegetable stews or pasta and fish dishes.
