Terres Secrètes Les Préludes Pouilly-Fuissé is an elegant introduction to the great tradition of white Burgundy wines. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it grows exclusively on the slopes of the southern Mâconnais, where the terroir with its chalky soils and marl layers offers ideal conditions for complex, multi-layered wines. The highly fragmented plots allow for different exposures, which gives the wine remarkable depth and versatility.Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: after gentle pneumatic pressing, fermentation is temperature-controlled and each cuvée is monitored analytically. A portion of the wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels before being combined with the remaining portion and then matured for a further 6 months in stainless steel tanks. The white wine thus harmoniously combines the structure of the wooden barrels with the freshness and clarity of the stainless steel tanks.In the glass, it is a dry, multi-layered Chardonnay with fine aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits. As it matures, elegant notes of hazelnut, almond, vanilla and flint develop. The nose is delicate and precise, on the palate the wine is full-bodied, creamy and at the same time carried by lively minerality - a Burgundy of great class.Terres Secrètes Les Préludes Pouilly-Fuissé is versatile - as an elegant aperitif as well as an accompaniment to refined dishes. It harmonizes particularly well with fried or steamed fish, shellfish, white meat or poultry in creamy sauces. It is best enjoyed at a temperature between 11 and 13 °C.This Chardonnay has a storage potential of 3 to 10 years, gaining complexity and depth in the process.

A literally outstanding Müller-Thurgau from Italy that has been delighting international wine critics for years: the grapes for the Tiefenbrunner Vigna Feldmarschall from Fenner Müller-Thurgau ripen in a single vineyard at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the Italian Alps. The bouquet of this white wine from South Tyrol combines notes of white flowers and yellow fruit (peach and apricot). According to Falstaff: "Delicately fragrant on the nose, of light honey, yellow peach, candied pineapple and ripe lemon, with a finish of meadow herbs and hay." Falstaff awarded 93 points to this Tiefenbrunner creation. US wine critic James Suckling also awards 93 points and writes of an "exceptionally concentrated Müller-Thurgau".Delicate on the palate, elegantly balanced and fascinatingly juicy and fresh, with great acidity. "The combination of the complexity of the texture on the mid-palate (with some creaminess) and the long, mineral finish make for a unique wine," writes Suckling.The Tiefenbrunner winegrowers invest two to four harvests with a strict selection according to optimum ripeness due to the exposed location of the vines. The grapes are gently pressed "and fermented half in large wooden barrels and half in concrete vats without the addition of pure yeasts. The young wine is then matured on the fine lees for almost a year," writes the winery. "After bottling, the FELDMARSCHALL VON FENNER Müller-Thurgau matures for a further six months in the bottle."Discover this outstanding white wine at a drinking temperature of 10 to 12 degrees. Dieser Sauvignon Blanc aus Südtirol zählt zu den herausragenden Beispielen der Weinbaukunst von Tiefenbrunner. Faszinierend vielschichtige Noten von Feuerstein, Graphit und Schiefer prägen das Bukett dieses Weißweins. Mit der Zeit treten fruchtige Nuancen von exotischen Früchten und von getrocknetem Heu in den Vordergrund. In Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gibt es 94+ Punkte für den Tiefenbrunner Vigna Rachtl Sauvignon Blanc Riserva und die Beschreibung von „duftenden Aromen von Steinfrüchten, kandiertem Pfirsich, Safran, wildem Salbei und Zitronenquark“. Auch Nuancen von Rauch, Lakritz und Feuerstein werden ausgemacht.Am Gaumen ist dieser strohgelb leuchtende Sauvignon Blanc mineralisch frisch, mit einem ausgeprägten Säurespiel und einer saftig-salzigen Aromatiefe. Die Rebsorte zeigt „selten mehr Üppigkeit und Körper als in diesem Fall“ heißt es im Wine Advocate.„Der Most wird je zur Hälfte in Tonneau-Fässern und großen Holzfässern zur alkoholischen Gärung gebracht und verbleibt dort fast ein Jahr“, schreibt das Weingut Tiefenbrunner. Dieser Vorgang verleihe dem RACHTL Sauvignon Blanc Riserva seine Geschmeidigkeit und Struktur. Um die Mineralität zu erhalten, achten die Macherinnen und Macher streng darauf, „dass es in dieser Zeit zu keinem biologischen Säureabbau kommt. Danach wird die Assemblage im Stahltank ein halbes Jahr natürlich geklärt“. Weitere 12 Monate reift der Wein nach der Abfüllung in der Flasche.

The Trapiche Terroir Series Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo comes from the renowned Valle de Uco in Mendoza, one of the best wine regions in Argentina.Top wines are produced at extreme altitudes in Argentina's Valle de Uco. The Trapiche winery, which has not been deterred by the altitude, was founded back in 1883. Today, the estate owns around 1000 hectares of vineyards. Trapiche works with more than 300 winegrowers from the surrounding area to offer wine from the best terroirs in the Mendoza region. This includes the Trapiche Terroir Series Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo. The El Tomillo vineyard is located in Gualtallary in Uco Valley at an altitude of 1350 meters. The soil is sandy with a high calcium carbonate content and lots of pebbles.After the hand harvest, the grapes are selected, destemmed and selected again. The grape juice produced during the subsequent pressing at 10°C begins to ferment. First at a controlled temperature of 10°C, then at 15°C. Wild yeasts are used for the fermentation, which takes place in 30 hl concrete vats. To make the dry white wine creamier and preserve its freshness, only part of it undergoes malolactic fermentation. The Trapiche Single Vineyard Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo then matures for a further 9 months in large French oak barrels (30 hl) and in concrete barrels (10 hl).This individual and expressive Chardonnay has a light, golden yellow color. Aromas of lemon, pear and flint play around the nose. A refreshing, elegant, mineral white wine with fine acidity and pronounced spicy notes surprises you on the palate. A slightly salty aftertaste follows.
