Argentiera Eco di Mare Vermentino Toscana IGT
Eco di Mare is Argentiera’s interpretation of the Tuscan Vermentino. The grapes come from west-facing vineyards at elevations ranging from 20 to 80 meters above sea level on the characteristic red Aeolian sandy soils of Donoratico. These coastal sites give the wine its pronounced freshness and mineral character. The grapes are harvested by hand. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine ferments for a total of 15 days and then remains on the fine lees for two months. This is followed by three months of aging in stainless steel tanks and an additional three months of bottle aging to optimally preserve freshness, precision, and varietal character. On the nose, the wine displays a delicate and elegant aromatic profile. On the palate, it impresses with pronounced minerality, vibrant freshness, and superbly integrated acidity, which highlight the wine’s clear fruit and the unmistakable character of Vermentino. This Vermentino pairs excellently with oysters, grilled fish, seafood, and Mediterranean appetizers. Argentiera Scenario Bolgheri Bianco DOC
The Scenario Bolgheri Bianco DOC is the result of the Argentiera winery’s intensive research into Vermentino. The grapes come from a north-facing vineyard at an elevation of 60 to 80 meters above Villa Donoratico. The vines grow on continental sandy and flysch soils, whose varying characteristics are specifically harnessed to highlight the aging potential and versatility of the Vermentino grape variety. The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place under temperature control at 16 to 18 °C, partly in spherical stoneware vessels (Clayvers) with a capacity of 400 liters and partly in untoasted, steam-bent wooden barrels, known as Cigares. The wine then ages on its fine lees for nine months in the same vessels before spending an additional 14 months aging in the bottle. The different aging vessels lend the wine additional complexity: The elongated shape of the Cigares intensifies contact with the fine lees, while the spherical Clayvers keep the wine constantly in motion, giving it a silky-smooth texture. On the nose, the Scenario impresses with an expressive bouquet that highlights the freshness and varietal characteristics of Vermentino. On the palate, it is precise and multi-layered, with a fine texture, lively freshness, and remarkable complexity resulting from the combination of the two vinification and aging methods. This Vermentino pairs excellently with grilled fish, seafood, and shellfish, as well as with delicate pasta dishes featuring Mediterranean herbs. It is also an excellent choice with white meat poultry or creamy goat cheese.

Belondrade Parcelles 2021
Belondrade Les Parcelles is the realization of Didier Belondrade’s dream to create an exceptional Verdejo that uncompromisingly reflects the terroir. It is based on two exceptional, perfectly complementary vineyards: La Cruz, a vineyard over 50 years old on gravelly and clay-rich soils, and Alameda, a bush-trained vineyard over 70 years old on distinctly sandy soils. Both parcels are located not far from the winery in one of the region’s finest sites. Only 2,149 bottles were produced from this exclusive vintage.Didier Belondrade and Marta Baquerizo’s intuition was already confirmed with the very first harvest: the pure free-run juice needs time to unfold its full potential. After 18 months of aging in barriques, the wine is bottled and then stored further at the winery until it has reached optimal maturity and its full complexity and elegance. Belondrade Les Parcelles is released only when the family deems it ready to drink—which is why not every vintage makes it to the market. On the nose, the wine displays exceptionally precise and terroir-driven aromas. On the palate, it is multi-layered and elegant, with remarkable maturity, great depth, and impressive complexity that expresses the character of Verdejo in a unique way. This characterful Verdejo pairs superbly with fine fish dishes, shellfish, and white meat. It also harmonizes beautifully with refined vegetable dishes or aged hard cheeses.
