The Rio Lindo Verdejo Oak Aged is made from 100% Verdejo grapes and comes from the Spanish wine region of Castilla-La Mancha. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the white wine matures for a few months in wooden barrels, which gives it additional structure and a little more body without masking the typical freshness of the grape.In the glass, it has a light yellow color with green reflections, which underlines its lively fruitiness. White fruits unfold on the nose, accompanied by fine vanilla and wood tones. Roda DOC Reserva 2021

An excellent vintage in the wine-growing region of Rioja and an outstanding Roda wine. This blend, consisting of 93% Tempranillo, a 3% of Graciano and a 4% of Garnacha, has a wonderful bouquet offering notes of sweet cherries, black fruit and nuances of Mediterranean herbs, complemented by perfectly integrated oak aromas. On the palate, the deep red Roda DOC Reserva is sumptuous and full-bodied. Initially, the wine is very fruity, showing an enormous balance and fine tannins. Its finish is once again characterised by a great, fresh fruitiness.The grapes come from bush vines that are more than 30 years old. These vines are cultivated without wire trellis training systems. The wine matured for 14 months in barriques, of which 40% were new and 60% were second-fill barrels. Afterwards, it was aged for another 30 months in the bottle. Luis Gutierrez writes in the Wine Advocate: ‘This wine has the potential to become a real bestseller.’You’ll want to discover the Toda DOC Reserva with moderate or hearty stews with chicken or beef, for example. This wine is an exemplary Rioja.

San Vicente Rioja DOCa - Elegant Tempranillo red wine with depth and structureSince 1991, oenologist Marcos Eguren, scion of a long-established winegrowing family in Rioja, has been producing this grape juice, which is limited to around 60,000 bottles a year. His San Vincente is the modern version of a premium Rioja that combines the best of all Spanish wine worlds. How is this to be understood? The San Vincente preserves the traditions and classic virtues of a Rioja by being aged for 20 months in wooden barrels (90% French and 10% American oak) and then bottled unfiltered. The wine is therefore guaranteed to keep for a long time. However, Marcos Eguren goes far beyond this in his approach to creating a modern and qualitatively outstanding wine; he focuses on a more fruit-driven style than is usual in Rioja.Not just any vines are used, but the noble variety of Tempranillo, namely Tempranillo Peludo, from the company's own 18-hectare Finca la Canoca vineyard, which is located on the best clay and limestone terroir. The grapes are hand-selected twice to ensure that only the best grapes make it into the wine.It is also striking that the wine is vinified with such precision and high quality that vintage fluctuations are hardly noticeable. The Telmo Rodriguez Dehesa Gago DO is a single-varietal Tinta de Toro - a local variant of the Tempranillo grape variety - and an authentic expression of the terroir of the Toro region. Eight winegrowing families cultivate their old bush vines in a low planting density and the grapes are traditionally harvested by hand. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and six months of ageing in stainless steel tanks preserve the pure fruit and freshness of the wine, which is deliberately not aged in wood.The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of fresh cherries, blackberries and fine chocolate notes, complemented by a pleasant spiciness. The Telmo Rodriguez Gaba do Xil O Barreiro smells of white flowers, dried light fruits, spices, almonds and honey. On the palate, the white wine is fresh and accessible, with subliminally noticeable tannins and a fine minerality. The Godello, an indigenous Galician grape variety, gives this wine its special characteristics.
