The San Roman Prima Tinto DO is a powerful yet elegant red wine from the renowned DO (Denominación de Origen) wine region in Spain.

In addition to the Aalto, Bodegas Mauro and Garmon wineries, the family of the famous Spanish oenologist Mariano Garcia and his sons also own the San Roman Toro house. Wines have been produced here since 1997. This means that the Prima Tinto comes from vines that are already 25 years old in some cases. The red wine is exemplary of the wildness of the Toro region. A wine that is very easy to drink even at a young age. A strong ruby red in the glass and a nose characterized by berry fruit and floral notes, as well as a hint of vanilla, make the Prima unmistakable from the very first moment. Spicy notes characterize the palate and the tannins are soft and delicate. A slight sweetness accompanies the fruity, full finish.

Try the Prima with grilled meats, hearty stews or tapas.

Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.

Die Trauben für den Palacio de Primavera Reserva stammen von weingutseigenen Rebanlagen in der Gemeinde Alfaro. Dort herrscht ein kontinentales Klima mit mediterranen Einflüssen. Die 45 Jahre alten Reben werden von Winzer Gorka Etxebarria mit besonderer Behutsamkeit gepflegt. So kann dieser wunderbare Wein entstehen. Er verwendet für die Reifung des Rotweins sowohl französische als auch amerikanische Eichenfässer.Schon die Farbe ist ausdrucksstark, ein tiefes Rubinrot mit wunderschönen glänzenden Reflexen. In der Nase finden sich rauchige Noten, gepaart mit Noten von Gewürzen und Kräutern. Dazu kommen Aromen von Pflaumenmarmelade und ein Hauch von Zedernholz und Schokolade. Am Gaumen ist der Palacio de Primavera Reserva rund und voll, mit einer herrlichen Frische und Sanftheit. Der intensive und langanhaltende Geschmack wird eingerahmt von reifen Tanninen und hochwertiger Eiche. Burgo Viejo Palacio de Primavera Reserva ist ein Rioja mit einem unglaublichen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. The Coto de Imaz Rerserva is brick-colored with orange nuances typical of Rioja. Delicate notes of berries and jam dominate the palate, wrapped in smoky spice aromas and vanilla tones. This red wine is finely balanced with noticeable but incredibly soft and mild tannins and an intense, complex structure. The finish is long-lasting and elegant.The grapes come mainly from the clay soils of Rioja Alta, but also from the limestone soils of Rioja Alavesa. After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by 16 to 18 months of ageing in American barrique barrels. The Coto de Imaz Rerserva then matures in the bottle for at least two years before being released for sale.An excellent accompaniment to game dishes, confit de canard, grilled red meat or ham. Also wonderful with medium-aged, not too spicy cheese.

There are quite a few people who claim that Aalto wines represent the best of Spanish viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region. Every year, the Aalto wines are once again compared to those produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, and the Aalto wines often win by a nose. For more than 30 years, Mariano García Fernández, the founder of the Aalto winery, was responsible for the wines produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, of which he was the Technical Director. With his own Bodega Aalto, García Fernández wants to achieve the best result without losing respect for the grapes. In creating his wines, he strives for the maximum expression of the terroir, uniting structure and power with elegance and complexity. The Aalto was characterised by a warm winter’s end and an early spring with early flowering. Sufficient rain in summer and a dry autumn led to grapes of an optimal quality. The grapes come mainly from very old vines that are up to 80 years old.The pure varietal Tempranillo (in the Burgos and Valladolid region better known as Tinto Fino) is a cherry red in colour. The wine offers fine notes of spices on the nose, along with light flavours of well-integrated wood. On the palate, the Aalto is wonderfully fresh and dense. Notes of tobacco, coffee and subtle aromas of liquorice reveal the unique style so typical of this Aalto. Due to its soft and round character, the wine can already be enjoyed young. Owing to the soft, enclosing tannins and a good acidity, the Aalto will increase its complexity over the coming years. The ageing of the wine in half new and half used barrels ofAmerican and French oak ensures that it will store well in the bottle. Enjoy the Aalto with a lovely beef roast or simply on its own in front of the fireplace.

Winzer Stefano Chiarlo ist zurecht stolz auf den Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Barbera Nizza. „Ein Wein mit intensiven Noten von Himbeeren und kleinen roten Früchten, kombiniert mit einer süßen und feinen Würze. Das Geschmackserlebnis ist eine seltene Balance (dank des Jahrgangs) zwischen Opulenz, Frische und Würze im Abgang.“ Auch die internationale Weinkritik ist sich einig, dass der Barbera d’Asti etwas Besonderes ist: 94 Punkte im Wine Enthusiast und 90 Punkte von James Suckling sprechen eine deutliche Sprache.Der reinsortige Barbera vereint in seinem Bouquet Noten von reifen Kirschen, Himbeeren und süßliche Noten von Tabak. „Weinige Aromen frisch gepresster Trauben, duftende blaue Blüten und reife Heidelbeeren bilden zusammen mit einem Hauch von Graphit und Unterholz“ das einladende Bukett, urteilt der Wine Enthusiast.
