The Telmo Rodriguez Dehesa Gago DO is a single-varietal Tinta de Toro - a local variant of the Tempranillo grape variety - and an authentic expression of the terroir of the Toro region. Eight winegrowing families cultivate their old bush vines in a low planting density and the grapes are traditionally harvested by hand. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and six months of ageing in stainless steel tanks preserve the pure fruit and freshness of the wine, which is deliberately not aged in wood.

The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of fresh cherries, blackberries and fine chocolate notes, complemented by a pleasant spiciness. On the palate, this red wine impresses with its juicy fruit, good structure, harmonious acidity and soft texture. The lively freshness and impressive fruit intensity make it accessible and expressive right from the start.
