After biological maturation, the protection provided by the flor is deliberately ended and the wine continues its maturation by oxidation. This double process results in an Amontillado that displays both fresh, yeasty-bready notes and nutty, spicy depth.In the glass, the Mil Pesetas Amontillado has a warm golden hue with amber reflections. The nose reveals elegant notes of roasted almonds, hazelnut and honey, complemented by hints of dried fruit, caramel and fine spicy minerality. On the palate, it is dry, round and harmonious with a lively acidity and a pleasant depth that is supported by nutty and slightly salty nuances. The "Mil Pesetas" line stands for the bodega's classic solera sherries, which reflect the house's long history and craftsmanship.This sherry is made from 100% Pedro Ximénez grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are often dried in the sun, which causes water to evaporate and concentrates the sugar and aromas. The wine then matures oxidatively in the traditional solera system, which allows it to develop its enormous density, complexity and depth.In the glass, the wine has a dark mahogany to amber color. The bouquet is intense and rich with aromas of raisins, dried plums and dates, accompanied by notes of chocolate, caramel and fine wood. Be Solo DO 2019

It is not always clear at first glance what exactly is behind a wine. This is also the case with Sei Solo. Javier Zaccagnini, former founder and owner of the famous Bodegas Aalto, founded his personal project in 2007. He bought around 3 hectares of vineyards near his favorite village of La Horra in the Ribera del Duero region. His aim was to bring the finesse and elegance of the Ribera del Duero into his wines, without the wines losing their backbone and tannin structure. Javier Zaccagnini is a lover of classical music and particularly admires Johann Sebastian Bach. He derived the name for his wines from the six sonatas for violin and obbligato harpsichord (Sei Sounate à Cembalo certato è Violino Solo).Sei Solo is a top-class Spanish red wine that is dark purple-red in the glass. The nose reveals particularly aromatic fruit notes of plum and blackberry. The wine smells of Mediterranean herbs, cocoa and subtle roasted aromas. A hint of licorice completes the whole. On the palate, Sei Solo is powerful and complex, with an exceptional freshness that you would not expect from such a wine.
