Chateau Pedesclaux Fleur de Pedesclaux Pauillac AOC 2019

Der Fleur de Pédesclaux, übersetzt die Blume von Pédesclaux , ist der Zweitwein vom Cru Classé Pedesclaux aus der weltberühmten Appellation Pauillac am linken Ufer der Gironde, im Médoc. Er ähnelt dem Grand Vin sehr, mit seiner wunderbaren Frucht und der warmen und sehr seidigen Textur. Hier ist allerdings der Merlot Anteil höher (67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon und 6% Petit Verdot), was ihn etwas geschmeidiger und zugänglicher macht. Das Jahr 2019 brachte außerordentlich gute Ergebnisse in Bordeaux hervor, so dass sich der Fleur de Pédesclaux mehr auf Augenhöhe mit seinem großen Bruder befindet als in nicht so guten Jahrgängen.Wir lieben sein reiches und duftendes Merlot-Bukett und seine roten und schwarzen Früchte, die eleganten und geschliffenen Tannine und den langen Nachhall. Kein Wunder, dass dieser Wein viel mehr ist als es der profane Begriff "Zweitwein" vermuten lässt. Star-Önologe Eric Boissenot hat hier beratend seine Finger im Spiel, Managing Dircetor Emmanuel Cruse bringt das Wein-Know-How von Château d´Issan mit und Jackie Lorenzetti, Eigentümer von Château Pédesclaux, hat keine Mühen und vor allem Millionen gescheut, Pédesclaux eine unglaubliche Dynamik in der Entwicklung zu spendieren.Der Fleur wird handgelesen, im Keller wird der Most und der Wein alleine durch Gravitation bewegt. Die Reifung erfolgt für 12 Monate in 30% neuen Fässern. Ein frischer, sehr hochwertig und rein vinifizierter Pauillac, der schon jung viel Freude bereitet und gegenwärtig trinkreif ist, allerdings durchaus auch das Potential zur Lagerung von einigen Jahren bietet.

Château Pédesclaux Grand Cru Classé Pauillac 2018 AOP

Château Pedesclaux aus der Appellation Pauillac im Médoc, ist ein 5ème Cru der Klassifikation von 1855. Das Weingut war lange Zeit sehr vernachlässigt worden, was sich änderte, als der Geschäftsmann Jackie Lorenzetti Château Pedesclaux im Jahre 2009 übernahm. Seitdem erkennt man das Weingut nicht wieder (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, durch die architektonischen Änderungen) und auch der Wein ist nun tatsächlich mehr als einem klassifizierten Gewächs würdig.Der 2018er Pedesclaux, der aus 48% Merlot, 47% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot und 2% Cabernet Franc besteht, ist ein toller, archetypischer Vertreter Pauillacs.René Gabriel: 18/20 Punkte; James Suckling: 95/100 Punkte; Falstaff: 94/100 Punkte.

The deep purple color alone attests to the exceptional quality of the Pey la Tour Reserve du Château 2021. On the nose, the intense aromas of red fruits come into their own, particularly black currant and blackberry. They harmonize perfectly with the wonderfully integrated oak notes.Full-bodied on the palate, the red fruit notes intensify even further. The structure is remarkable and noticeable from the very first sip. The acidity is wonderfully balanced, and overall, this elegant wine is a small work of art in its own right, offering a long, fruity finish.The blend of 72% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot aged for 12 months in barriques (37% new barrels). The grapes from the dry 2019 vintage are characterized by their concentration and intense fruitiness.

Dichtverwobener, vielschichtiger, cremiger, fein opulenter, burgundischer Gaumen mit fein konzentrierter, cremiger Struktur, sehr viel feinem Tannin, süsser, super Aromatik, kräftiger, feiner Frucht, sehr langer, aromatischer, frischer Abgang mit vielen Rückaromen. Chateau Poujeaux Moulis-en-Medoc AOC 2020

Château Poujeaux 2020 is an outstanding wine from the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, one of the smaller but highly regarded regions on the left bank of Bordeaux. The estate, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages, is known for its consistent quality work and its ability to produce wines with strong character and longevity year after year. The 2020 vintage benefited from a balanced climate with warm days, cool nights and an ideal ripening period, resulting in excellent concentration and elegance in the grapes.The cuvée of the 2020 vintage consists predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), supplemented by Merlot (40%) and Petit Verdot (6%). This classic Bordeaux composition reflects the terroir character of the gravelly soils in Moulis particularly well and ensures complexity and depth.In the glass, Château Poujeaux 2020 is an intense, deep ruby red. The nose reveals a multi-layered bouquet of dark berries, particularly cassis, black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by floral notes such as violets as well as cedar, tobacco, cocoa and a hint of graphite - typical of the Left Bank style.On the palate, the wine impresses with density and elegance. The tannins are finely polished, the texture silky, and yet the Poujeaux 2020 has a powerful structure. The fruit aromas are concentrated but not overripe, accompanied by fresh acidity and a beautiful mineral note. The finish is long, harmonious and shows very good ageing potential.The 2020 vintage is considered by wine critics to be one of the best in the winery's recent history. James Suckling awarded it 93 points and praised its "precise structure, purity and depth". Wine Advocate and Vinous also emphasized the balance of power, freshness and elegance. The wine is already very appealing when young, but has the potential to mature for 15 to 20 years, during which it will continue to grow in complexity.Château Poujeaux 2020 is a classic but modern Bordeaux with depth, structure and finesse. It combines the typical virtues of a Médoc wine - power, elegance and ageability - while at the same time displaying an accessible fruit and finesse that makes it very attractive even when young. An excellent representative of its terroir with a convincing price-performance ratio.

La Sirène de Giscours Margaux is the second wine from the world-famous Château Giscours in Margaux and consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A wonderful Margaux seducer that has benefited from 30% new barrels during maturation.A dark garnet red in the glass, the nose is delicately spicy, with dark berries, leading into a cedar bouquet, blackcurrants and some roasted notes. The body of this dry wine is round and deep, with spicy notes lingering on the long finish.Please decant this French red wine at least one hour before drinking! Of course, it can also be aged in the cellar for several years. It is a wonderful accompaniment to poultry dishes, game and mature cheeses.The ratings speak for themselves: James Suckling: 92-93, Neal Martin 89-91, Robert Parker says it is the best Sirène de Giscours ever.

Le Moulin Rose de Malescasse is the second wine of Château Malescasse in the Haut-Médoc. Named after the estate’s historic windmill, the grapes for this cuvée come from plots in its immediate vicinity. The blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot gives the wine a balanced and elegant style typical of the Médoc. Its silky texture makes it pleasantly approachable even in its youth.The blend consists of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45.5% Merlot, and 5.5% Petit Verdot. After destemming, the grapes are selected by hand and vinified by plot in small wooden and concrete tanks. No pre-crushing is performed. The maceration period lasts up to four weeks, during which the tannins are gently extracted by carefully punching down the cap and performing brief pump-overs. The wine is then aged for twelve months, primarily in one- and two-year-old oak barrels, with one-third aged in large wooden tanks.On the nose, the wine displays intense aromas of elderberries, black currants, blackberries, and fresh blue raspberries, accompanied by a subtle, gently integrated woody note. On the palate, it is lively and elegant, with fine tannins, good structure, and a long finish.Le Moulin Rose de Malescasse pairs excellently with grilled or pan-seared beef, lamb, and game dishes. It is also a harmonious accompaniment to braised meats or aged hard cheeses.

Les Forts de Latour 2011

Château Latour ranks among the most famous wine producers in the world. Its second wine Les Forts de Latour is produced with the same precision brought to bear in the grand vin. The main differences are that the Les Forts de Latour has a higher percentage of Merlot (25-30%) and it matured in oak casks, of which 50% were new barrels.The Les Forts de Latour 2011 is a deep, dense purple in the glass. Fruitiness and floral notes characterize its bouquet. On the palate, the wine is sumptuous and velvety, with a complex, powerful and prolonged finish. Les Pagodes de Cos 2018

Les Pagodes de Cos is the second wine from the renowned Château Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe, which, together with Château Montrose, has been at the top of the appellation for years. The grapes for "The Pagodas" from Cos - and the château, which resembles an Indian temple, really does have some - come from selected plots on the estate and give the wine its own personality. This is somewhat more accessible and perhaps a little less complex than the Grand Vin, but it is a pleasure to drink with its velvety texture, freshness and beautiful fruit.54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot give the wine its attractive, mineral and rather soft character. The emphasis here is clearly more on the fruit and an earlier drinking pleasure than with its big brother, which is a marathon runner and takes a long time to reach drinking maturity.Great black berry fruit, some coffee and tobacco on the nose. Round on the palate with a very beautiful, elegant structure. The tannins are well integrated and the finish is long and lingering.

Madame de Beaucaillou Haut-Medoc 2020

Der Madame de Beaucaillou, aus dem "outstanding"-Jahrgang 2020, stammt vom renommierten Château Ducru-Beaucaillou aus der Appellation Saint-Julien. Wenn ein Wein das Synonym für Finesse, Tiefe und perfekte Struktur ist, dann ist es dieses Weingut vom linken Ufer, das in der Klassifikation von 1855 als deuxième Cru geadelt wurde.Der Madame de Beaucaillou , bestehend aus 66% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Petit Verdot, ist eine leichtere Spielart des Grand Vin, mit mehr Betonung auf der Frucht und Zugänglichkeit, bedingt durch den deutlich höheren Merlot Anteil. Obschon Ducru-Beaucaillou in Saint-Julien ansässig ist, liegen die Weinberge des Madame de Beaucaillou im Haut-Médoc, so dass er dieser AOC zugerechnet wird.Er reift für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern nach mit einem Neufassanteil von 20%.Eine tief violette Farbe begrüsst das Auge. In der Nase viel rote Früchte, Pflaumen, süsse Kirschen und Veilchenimpressionen. Am Gaumen schön rund, stoffig und mit einem wahren Fruchtkorb roter und dunkler Beerenfrüchte. Der Nachhall ist lang und spiegelt die Eindrücke am Gaumen perfekt wieder. Insgesamt eine sehr gelungene Mixtur von Frische, Struktur und Frucht, die uns hier mehr als begeistert hat.
