Les Pagodes de Cos is the second wine from the renowned Château Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe, which, together with Château Montrose, has been at the top of the appellation for years. The grapes for "The Pagodas" from Cos - and the château, which resembles an Indian temple, really does have some - come from selected plots on the estate and give the wine its own personality. This is somewhat more accessible and perhaps a little less complex than the Grand Vin, but it is a pleasure to drink with its velvety texture, freshness and beautiful fruit.

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot give the wine its attractive, mineral and rather soft character. The emphasis here is clearly more on the fruit and an earlier drinking pleasure than with its big brother, which is a marathon runner and takes a long time to reach drinking maturity.

Great black berry fruit, some coffee and tobacco on the nose. Round on the palate with a very beautiful, elegant structure. The tannins are well integrated and the finish is long and lingering.

Die Familien Moulin und Cathiard haben 2014 Beauregard übernommen und die Qualität nochmals auf ein höheres Niveau gehoben. Dem Benjamin de Beauregard kommt dabei bei der Weinbereitung die selbe Sorgfalt zu, wie dem Grand Vin. Die Ernte wird auf Beauregard vollständig manuell ausgeführt. Der Benjamin wird im Holzfass ausgebaut, mit 30% Neufassanteil. Er ist von rubinroter Farbe. Die Nase umschmeicheln milde Düfte von dunklen Kirschen, Paprika, Karamell, Pflaumen und Kräutern. Am Gaumen überwiegen vor allem die Früchte und die feine Struktur imponiert. Der Abgang ist ebenfalls durch dunkle Früchte charakterisiert. Der Wein zeigt eine schöne Balance und Ausgeglichenheit. Er ist jetzt bereits nach etwas dekantieren trinkreif, bleibt aber durchaus noch 8 Jahren auf dem Höhepunkt. Köstlich in Kombination mit rotem Fleisch, Wildgerichten und Käse.

Ségla is the second wine from the renowned Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux. In the last two decades, Rauzan-Ségla has almost always been one of the top trio in the Margaux appellation, alongside the appellation's namesake and Château Palmer.The vintage was an extraordinarily good one, one speaks here of a vintage of the century. The Tawny matured for an average of 7-9 years in oak casks, and was partially blended with considerably older port wines in order to give it more complexity and character.This wine is well-balanced with the abundance of aromas of black and red fruit that wonderfully unite with notes of oranges, orange peel, cinnamon, figs, raisins and plums to create this outstanding taste experience.This amber-coloured port wine is exceptionally aromatic and full-bodied. The Hensel Höhenflug Cuvée red wine proves that the international grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah can also produce outstanding wines in Germany.Strictly selected grapes from the estate's best vineyards are blended together to create this cuvée. The wine smells of clove pepper and has notes of hot black pepper. This is accompanied by notes of sour cherries and dried leaves.The maturation in heavily toasted wooden barrels also gives the Höhenflug Cuvée red wine a fine woody note, which is surrounded by cassis, elderberry and blackberry.
