La Sirène de Giscours Margaux is the second wine from the world-famous Château Giscours in Margaux and consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A wonderful Margaux seducer that has benefited from 30% new barrels during maturation.

A dark garnet red in the glass, the nose is delicately spicy, with dark berries, leading into a cedar bouquet, blackcurrants and some roasted notes. The body of this dry wine is round and deep, with spicy notes lingering on the long finish.

Please decant this French red wine at least one hour before drinking! Of course, it can also be aged in the cellar for several years. It is a wonderful accompaniment to poultry dishes, game and mature cheeses.

The ratings speak for themselves: James Suckling: 92-93, Neal Martin 89-91, Robert Parker says it is the best Sirène de Giscours ever.

Die Familien Moulin und Cathiard haben 2014 Beauregard übernommen und die Qualität nochmals auf ein höheres Niveau gehoben. Dem Benjamin de Beauregard kommt dabei bei der Weinbereitung die selbe Sorgfalt zu, wie dem Grand Vin. Die Ernte wird auf Beauregard vollständig manuell ausgeführt. Der Benjamin wird im Holzfass ausgebaut, mit 30% Neufassanteil. Er ist von rubinroter Farbe. Die Nase umschmeicheln milde Düfte von dunklen Kirschen, Paprika, Karamell, Pflaumen und Kräutern. Am Gaumen überwiegen vor allem die Früchte und die feine Struktur imponiert. Der Abgang ist ebenfalls durch dunkle Früchte charakterisiert. Der Wein zeigt eine schöne Balance und Ausgeglichenheit. Er ist jetzt bereits nach etwas dekantieren trinkreif, bleibt aber durchaus noch 8 Jahren auf dem Höhepunkt. Köstlich in Kombination mit rotem Fleisch, Wildgerichten und Käse.
