Der Fleur de Pédesclaux, übersetzt die Blume von Pédesclaux , ist der Zweitwein vom Cru Classé Pedesclaux aus der weltberühmten Appellation Pauillac am linken Ufer der Gironde, im Médoc. Er ähnelt dem Grand Vin sehr, mit seiner wunderbaren Frucht und der warmen und sehr seidigen Textur. Hier ist allerdings der Merlot Anteil höher (67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon und 6% Petit Verdot), was ihn etwas geschmeidiger und zugänglicher macht. Das Jahr 2019 brachte außerordentlich gute Ergebnisse in Bordeaux hervor, so dass sich der Fleur de Pédesclaux mehr auf Augenhöhe mit seinem großen Bruder befindet als in nicht so guten Jahrgängen.

Wir lieben sein reiches und duftendes Merlot-Bukett und seine roten und schwarzen Früchte, die eleganten und geschliffenen Tannine und den langen Nachhall.

Kein Wunder, dass dieser Wein viel mehr ist als es der profane Begriff "Zweitwein" vermuten lässt. Star-Önologe Eric Boissenot hat hier beratend seine Finger im Spiel, Managing Dircetor Emmanuel Cruse bringt das Wein-Know-How von Château d´Issan mit und Jackie Lorenzetti, Eigentümer von Château Pédesclaux, hat keine Mühen und vor allem Millionen gescheut, Pédesclaux eine unglaubliche Dynamik in der Entwicklung zu spendieren.

Der Fleur wird handgelesen, im Keller wird der Most und der Wein alleine durch Gravitation bewegt. Die Reifung erfolgt für 12 Monate in 30% neuen Fässern. Ein frischer, sehr hochwertig und rein vinifizierter Pauillac, der schon jung viel Freude bereitet und gegenwärtig trinkreif ist, allerdings durchaus auch das Potential zur Lagerung von einigen Jahren bietet.

Château Pédesclaux

Dieser cinquième Cru aus der Klassifikation von 1855 produzierte über Jahre hinweg Weine, die seinem Potenzial und dem Terroir nicht gerecht wurden. Gelegen in Pauillac, zwischen solchen Überfliegern wir Mouton-Rothschild und Pontet-Canet, schöpfte man seine Möglichkeiten nicht so aus, wie es angemessen gewesen wäre. Das änderte sich erst im Jahre 2009, als der Geschäftsmann Jacky Lorenzetti das Weingut übernahm, welches 1810 vom Weinhändler Pierre Urbain Pédesclaux gegründet worden war.

„Wiedergeburt“ ist wohl die richtige Bezeichnung, die mit Château Pédesclaux assoziiert werden muss. „Zurück in die Zukunft“ ein anderes Schlagwort, welches die moderne Hightech Architektur und die Kellertechnik charakterisieren. Hier ist nichts ausgelassen worden, um dem einen Ziel zu dienen: den perfekten Pauillac zu vinifizieren.

Man reduzierte den Merlot-Anteil und pflanzte mehr Cabernet Sauvignon, welcher einfach besser zu den Kiesböden passt. Lese von Hand, schonendste Bearbeitung der Trauben und des Mostes nur per Gravitation und penibelste Kellerhygiene tragen zum perfektionistischen Anspruch der Equipe von Château Pédesclaux bei.

Seit dem 2015er Pédesclaux ist man hier auf einem bislang unbekannten Niveau, dass die mediokren Phasen der Vergangenheit vergessen lässt. Endlich ist auch die Assemblage komplett, da nun alle big player der Resorten aus Bordeaux im Blend vereinigt sind. Cabernet Franc und Petit Verdot vermögen den Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon genial zu ergänzen.

Das Ergebnis ist ein Charmeur von einem Pauillac-Wein, bereits früh trinkreif, aber mit einem äußerst langen Lagerungspotenzial. Hier muss man allerdings keine Aktien verkaufen, um sich eine Flasche Wein zu gönnen. Die Preise sind mehr als reell und dürften zukünftig anziehen. Château Pédesclaux ist auf dem Weg in die Stratosphäre von Pauillac.

Château Pedesclaux aus der Appellation Pauillac im Médoc, ist ein 5ème Cru der Klassifikation von 1855. Das Weingut war lange Zeit sehr vernachlässigt worden, was sich änderte, als der Geschäftsmann Jackie Lorenzetti Château Pedesclaux im Jahre 2009 übernahm. Château Charmail Haut-Médoc AOC 2019

Château Charmail, located in the north of the Médoc, is the neighbor of Sociando-Mallet and has an exceptionally good terroir close to the Gironde. Formerly dormant, this estate woke up a few decades ago and produces fresh and fruity wines that have propelled Château Charmail into the top league of the Left Bank. It is important to bear in mind that the prices for this grape juice are still more than moderate, making Charmail one of the absolute price-performance winners in the whole of Bordeaux. The 2019 vintage is also exceptionally successful and is considered part of the century trilogy (2018-2020).A wonderfully deep ruby red glows in the glass. On the nose, the typically delicate fruit of Château Charmail, with cassis, blackberries, redcurrants and a hint of elderberry. On the palate, the red and blueberry character intensifies, framed by tobacco, licorice, leather and a little graphite, as well as mint and cedar. Everything is very fresh and harmonious, with good structure and race and some residual sweetness, which balances wonderfully with the intense fruit. Although the tannins are present, they are not over-represented, but appear polished and polished. The finish is extremely long.Château Charmail 2019 is a winner in its price category and scores even higher. Château Chasse-Spleen 2020

Chasse-Spleen, aus der Appellation Moulis, ist seit den 1980er Jahren ein immer verlässlicher, charaktervoller Wein, der preislich nie über das Ziel hinausschießt. Vielleicht ist auch das einer der Gründe, warum der Chasse-Spleen so beliebt ist und eine treue Anhängerschaft in Deutschland sein eigen nennt.Der 2020er Chasse-Spleen ist ein wunderbar klassischer Vertreter Bordeauxs, der dem Kenner durch seine Tiefgründigkeit und Rotfruchtigkeit gefallen wird.Die Assemblage besteht aus 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40 Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot.Die Farbe ist ein funkelndes, tiefes Bordeaux-Rot. In der Nase Röstnoten, Vanille und etwas Kirsche. Nach etwas Belüftung treten herrliche Aromen roter Früchte hinzu. Am Gaumen eine schöne Stoffigkeit, der Merlot bringt die Fülle, der Cabernet Sauvignon ist für die Finesse und den seidigen Touch verantwortlich. Die vorhandenen Tannine bringen eine schöne Balance in die Gleichung mit ein. Der Abgang ist lang und intensiv.Die Trinkreife dürfte bis ca. 2030 andauern. Der Chasse-Spleen 2020 passt hervorragend zu Wild, Braten, Pasta oder gereiftem Käse.Neil Martin: 90-92/100 Punkte; René Gabriel: 16/20.

The Château La Commanderie is a cuvée made of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. The grapes for this classical Saint-Estèphe, in the Cru Bourgeois range, come from vines that are more than 30 years old. The wine matured for 12 months in French oak casks.The vines for the 2017 La Commanderie grew in the highest vineyards with gravel soils located in the village of Saint-Estèphe. The wine is a typical example of this outstanding vintage in the Bordeaux region. It is already very enjoyable but will further improve over the next 8-10 years. The Château La Commanderie is beguiling on the nose, offering lovely, spicy aromas and fragrances of red and dark berries, cherries, pepper and polish. On the palate, it has an impressive abundance of fruit and silky, very well integrated tannins and a lovely long finish, showing subtle hints of mint and herbs.This charming Saint-Estèphe goes beautifully with beef, steaks, lamb, game and various cheeses. We recommend decanting the wine 1-2 hours before drinking it.

Château Charmail Haut-Médoc AOC 2018

Château Charmail is known for producing wines that very often score significantly higher than their price would suggest. Charmail, classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, was taken over by Oliver Seze in the 1980s and underwent a "horse cure" of renewal until the wines once again reached the level of the terroir on which its vines grow. As a neighbor of Sociando-Mallet and Phélan-Ségur, the Gironde is not far away and the wine is now one of the best in the Haut-Médoc. Seze is still active as a consultant, but has handed over the vineyard to Bernard d'Halluin and his daughter Marie.2018 is the first year of the "dream trilogy" 2018, 2019 and 2020, which produced outstanding wines in the Bordelais. The cuvée consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot.The appeal of this wine lies in its creaminess and fine fruit, with underlying sweet aromas. Blue and black berries, cassis, tobacco and chocolate delight the nose. Silky on the palate, with a medium-full body, toasty notes from the wood, which do not dominate, and polished tannins. The finish is long lasting.This elegant and balanced Haut-Médoc is already ready to drink, but only after about an hour of decanting. However, it should still have a span of at least 15 years ahead of it, provided it is stored properly, of course.The 2018 offers a great drinking experience at an excellent price-performance ratio. Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon

The Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley has a dark, dense ruby red color with black reflections. Aromas of ripe blackberries and prunes on the nose.
