Schon das dunkle Purpur zeugt von der besonderen Qualität des Pey la Tour Reserve du Château 2019. In der Nase kommen die intensiven Aromen roter Früchte voll zur Geltung, besonders schwarze Johannisbeere und Brombeere. Sie harmonieren ideal mit den wunderbar integrierten Eiche-Noten.

Am Gaumen körperreich, und die Noten roter Früchte nehmen in ihrer Intensität noch einmal zu. Die Struktur ist bemerkenswert und von der ersten Sekunde an spürbar. Die Säure ist wunderbar ausgewogen, und insgesamt ist dieser elegante Wein ein kleines Gesamtkunstwerk, das zudem ein langes, fruchtiges Finale bietet.

Die Assemblage aus 90% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc und 4% Petit-Verdot reifte für 12 Monate im Barrique (37% neue Fässer). Die Trauben des regenarmen Jahrgangs 2019 zeichnen sich durch ihre Konzentriertheit und Frucht-Intensität aus.

Der Château Tessendey 2019, aus der renommierten Appellation Fronsac im Bordelais, hat uns bei einer großen Verkostung, die im Rahmen der Primeur-Kampagne in Bordeaux stattfand, mehr als überzeugt. Er stach, was seine Qualität und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis betrifft, aus der Masse der Konkurrenten heraus.Dieses Weingut ist seit 1972 im Besitz der Familie d’Arfeuille; die Cuvée ist typisch für das rechte Ufer Bordeaux, besteht sie doch aus weit überwiegend Merlot, mit einem Anteil von etwa 15% Cabernet Franc. 2019 ist anerkannter Maßen ein sehr gelungener Jahrgang und die Lehmböden mit darunter liegendem Kalksockel konnten hier ihr bemerkenswertes Potential ausspielen. Dementsprechend kraftvoll und intensiv, aber dennoch fein, kommt der Tessendey 2019 daher. In der Nase ein großer Fruchtkorb voll schwarzer und roter Beeren, Toast, Schokolade und viel Würzigkeit. Am Gaumen setzt sich dieses Erlebnis fort, mit weiteren Anklängen von Muskatnuss und Brombeeren. Die Tannine sind vorhanden, aber bereits jetzt schon gut integriert und geschliffen; der Ausklang ist lang.

The 3 Passo is a special kind of organic wine. The name stands for the production method. Put simply, the wine is composed of three parts. One third of the wine comes from overripe grapes, which are processed using the appassimento method. Another third is fermented naturally, whereby the so-called pumping over gives the red wine more color and flavor. The final third spends time in wooden barrels after fermentation, which gives the 3 Passo from Cielo e Terra its special character and brings aromas of vanilla and spices into the wine. It has a deep garnet red color in the glass and ripe, intense fruit notes on the nose. A light woody aroma complements this impression. On the palate, the Italian wine tastes strong and rich with fruit and light vanilla tones. The 3 Passo is soft, harmonious and full-bodied with a complex, long-lasting finish.Serve this wonderful dry red wine from Apulia with hearty dishes of all kinds, such as a T-bone steak.
