The Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley embodies the pursuit of quality and terroir expression with which the traditional Joseph Phelps winery was founded by Joe Phelps over 30 years ago. From the vine to the bottle, the fruit of several outstanding Napa vineyards unfolds with careful processing and uncompromising winemaking craftsmanship.The cuvée is based on around 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by proportions of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot. The nose reveals intense aromas of black cherry, cassis and pomegranate, accompanied by cedar wood spices and a fine coconut note from the barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine develops juicy stewed fruit and blackberry flavors, embedded in supple tannins and an elegant, lingering finish.Ageing in French oak (partly American) gives the wine structure and depth without losing its freshness and origin. This combination makes the Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon a charismatic companion for meat dishes such as dry-aged steak or lamb fillet and at the same time a wine with very good ageing potential.

Mit seiner unvergleichlichen Komplexität, Tiefe und Eleganz zählt dieser Wein zu den Spitzenprodukten der amerikanischen Weinwelt.Der Insignia 2021 verführt mit einem beeindruckenden Bouquet und fesselt die Sinne mit lebendigen Aromen von Schwarzkirsche, Hibiskus und wilder Brombeere, subtil akzentuiert durch frische Erde und einen Hauch von Tahiti-Vanille. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Wein opulent und kraftvoll mit feinen, weichen Tanninen und einer hellen Säure, die für eine außergewöhnliche Länge sorgt. Dunkle Fruchteigenschaften mit warmen Tönen von Redwood-Rinde und Backgewürzen harmonisieren miteinander ganz wunderbar. Like "Kaikenes" - Patagonian wild geese crossing the Andes between Chile and Argentina - the famous winery Viña Montes has gone the way from Chile to Argentina to lead the project “Kaiken” to success. Kaiken uses the best growing areas of Argentina - Maipú, Cruz de Piedra, Ugarteche, Agrelo and Valle de Uco. The blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot comes from vineyards in Agrelo and Valle de Uco. It has a very dark reddish-purple colour. On the nose it offers the classic Cabernet aromas of black currants and juicy cherries, elegantly highlighted with the subtle scent of violets of Malbec and perfectly integrated oak notes. On the palate, Cabernet Sauvignon provides the juicy dark berry flavors, Malbec complements with silky mature tannins and Petit Verdot completes the blend with clear structure and depth, powerful with a rich, fresh fruit. The finale has a nice length. Lanzerac Le General is a so-called Bordeaux Blend, which would be assigned to the left bank in Bordeaux, i.e. the Médoc region. This style has its origins in the classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot.The grapes for this wine all come from the estate's best vineyards in the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch. The wine matured for 20 months in 1st and 2nd fill French oak barrels. This full-bodied blend announces vanilla and nutmeg spices before a flood of dark berries, cooked plums and blackcurrants hit the palate. Dark chocolate and a hint of smoke are supported by powerful, soft tannins and an endless finish. This vintage has already reached drinking maturity.
