Es handelt sich um eine harmonische Cuvée aus insgesamt 7 Rebsorten, wobei Cabernet Sauvignon und Petit Verdot den Hauptanteil stellen. Im Glas präsentiert sich der Wente Mount Diablo Highlands Red Blend in einem tiefen Rubinrot und verströmt einladende Aromen von roten Früchten, besonders dunkle Kirsche und frische Pflaume. Am Gaumen zeigt dieser Rotwein subtile Noten von Kaffeebohne und Toffee, ergänzt um einen zarten Unterton von weißem Pfeffer. The Wente family’s hillside Merlot vineyards deliver fully ripened fruit with exceptional depth of character.With a smooth mouthfeel and inviting tannins, this Merlot exhibits flavors of strawberry, cherry, blackberryand fig with hints of toast, brown sugar and spice, with a long luscious finish.Each varietal was harvested separately and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was pumped over twice daily to increases the color and tannin extractions and improves mouthfeel through the integration of oxygen. Aged for 20 months in French and American neutral oak.Enjoy this wine for grilling, with a chicken menu or with cheese.
