The Jean Bousquet Malbec combines the power and fruitiness of Argentina with the finesse of French winemaking. The Bousquet family, originally from France, has settled in the high altitudes of Mendoza to produce wines of exceptional quality and authenticity. This Malbec impresses with its deep aromas, soft tannins and harmonious character.

The grapes come from organically cultivated vineyards in the Uco Valley, one of Argentina's most renowned wine-growing regions. The continental climate with warm days and cool nights ensures optimum ripeness and intense aromas. After selective hand-picking, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruitiness and freshness. Part of the wine is then matured for several months in French oak barrels, which gives it additional depth and elegant spice.

In the glass, the Jean Bousquet Malbec is a deep, dark ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by intense aromas of dark fruits such as black cherry, plum and blackberry, complemented by subtle notes of violet, vanilla and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with silky tannins, well-balanced acidity and a long, elegant finish.

This Malbec is the perfect accompaniment to hearty dishes. It harmonizes particularly well with grilled beef, lamb chops or spicy stews. It also unfolds its full sophistication with mature hard cheese or dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.

Die Geschichte des Weingutes Domaine Jean Bousquet ist – zumindest in Argentinien – noch recht kurz, dafür schreibt das Weingut in Südamerika von Beginn an Erfolgskapitel. Die Familie Bousquet stammt ursprünglich aus der südfranzösischen Stadt Carcassonne und steht für eine lange und prestigereiche Tradition des Weinbaus. 1998 erwarb Jean Bousquet, immer auf der Suche nach Wegen, exzellente Weine zu kreieren, das Anbaugebiet in Tupungato, Uco Valley, am Fuße der Anden in der Region Mendoza. Auf einer Höhe von 1.200 Metern reifen auf dem zuvor unberührten Land Trauben für erlesene Weine heran, die europäische Weinbautradition und das einzigartige Terroir und Klima in Argentiniens Uco Valley vereinen.

Auf dem Weingut mit einer Fläche von 240 Hektar profitieren die Reben von Temperaturspannen, die zwischen Tag und Nacht 25 Grad betragen können, und von geringem Niederschlag, der eine sehr kontrollierte Bewässerung erlaubt – die noch dazu mit natürlichem Schmelzwasser aus den Anden erfolgt. Weine von bemerkenswerter Farbintensität, wunderbarer Fruchtigkeit, guter Struktur und einem samtigen Stil sowie einer angenehmen Säure sind das Ergebnis dieser perfekten Bedingungen.

Dadurch ist der Weißwein ein perfekte Essensbegleiter mit einzigartigen Fruchtaromen. Die Trauben von dem Weingut Domaine Bousquet stammen aus den Regionen Mendoza und Tupungato in Argentinien, welche hervorragende Klimabedingungen auf einer Höhe von 1000 Meter für das Reifen der Reben bieten.Der reinsortige Chardonnay kommt aus einem biologischen Anbau und zeigt sich in einer hellgelben Farbe mit grünen Reflexen.
