Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento
Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento - Intense pleasure from ApuliaThe Primitivo grape variety has enjoyed unbroken popularity for years. The variety of Primitivo wines is now almost unmanageable. It is therefore all the more important to preserve the original character of this grape. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento does this very well. Deliberately with a little less residual sweetness and very structured on the palate, this dry wine from Italy is full-bodied but at the same time has a smoothness that is second to none. In a long process with the cellar master and owner Gaetano Marangelli from Cantine Menhir, we have brought the typical Apulian native form of a Primitivo into the bottle. The color is an intense dark red and shows all the power of the sun that was able to flow into the grapes of the Pr1mo. The nose has wonderful aromas of cherry jam, ripe plums and wild berries. Maturing in wooden barrels gives the wine an additional hint of vanilla. Fruit and fullness dominate the palate. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento is always velvety and balanced. Enjoy the original Puglia. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento is an all-rounder that can be enjoyed solo or with a good meal. Serve this wine with roast pork or dark meat from the grill. This red wine is also an excellent accompaniment to strong cheeses. Our chocolate tip: Try an exquisite milk chocolate with notes of salted caramel with this dry red wine.

19 Crimes "The Uprising" Red
‘The Uprising’ is a wine that was aged for 30 days in rum barrels and is a tribute to Australia’s Rum Rebellion of 1808. As the rum trade was hindered by the government at that time, citizens and soldiers joined together to bring down the government. The ageing in rum barrels gives this wine its dark, jammy body and a finish characterised by notes of warm brown sugar. The grapes for the 19 Crimes ‘The Uprising’ come from selected vineyards that are renowned for their spice and concentration, giving the wine its great intensity and sensational flavour. In the 2019 vintage, the Shiraz grape variety is predominant, giving the wine light notes of raspberries and a fine tannin structure. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes produce lovely blackberry aromas and ensure fullness and structure on the palate. The ‘The Uprising’ is rounded off by a smaller percentage of Grenache, giving the wine its spice and sweet fruitiness. On the nose, the wine offers intense notes of mocha, caramel and baking flavours.Like all wines of the 19 crimes line, ‘The Uprising’ has a history of its own:The man depicted on the label was a member of the Fenian brotherhood from Skibbereen in Ireland who played a major role in the Fenian movement right from the beginning. In 1864, he was arrested, found guilty, sentenced to ten years in prison and deported to Australia.

Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Pedro Ximenez Sherry
The Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Pedro Ximénez Sherry is an opulent, noble sweet sherry from the traditional Barbadillo house in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the famous Jerez-Xérès sherry growing region in Andalusia. The "Mil Pesetas" line stands for the bodega's classic solera sherries, which reflect the house's long history and craftsmanship. This sherry is made from 100% Pedro Ximénez grapes. The bouquet is intense and rich with aromas of raisins, dried plums and dates, accompanied by notes of chocolate, caramel and fine wood. On the palate, Pedro Ximénez is extremely velvety, syrupy and full-bodied, with an enormous sweetness and a long, aromatic finish that is strongly reminiscent of raisins and dried fruit. As a classic dessert sherry, it is an excellent accompaniment to chocolate desserts, ice cream, caramelized desserts or blue cheese. Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Manzanilla Sherry
Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Manzanilla Sherry is a classic, lively manzanilla sherry from Jerez-la-Franca, the coastal part of the sherry region in Andalusia (Spain). It is produced by the traditional Bodega Barbadillo and stands for the unmistakable freshness, saltiness and finesse that characterize Manzanillas from near the sea.The grapes come mainly from Palomino-Fino vines, which grow on the chalky and gravelly Albariza soils around Jerez. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine matures in the classic solera and criadera system, where it is permanently stored under a protective yeast called flor. Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Oloroso Sherry
The Barbadillo Mil Pesetas Oloroso Sherry is a classic oxidatively matured sherry from the traditional Barbadillo bodega in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the Andalusian sherry region of Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. The "Mil Pesetas" line refers to historic soleras from the bodega's cellars of the same name and stands for authentic, traditionally matured sherries with a clear character of origin. The basis is the Palomino Fino grape variety, which grows on the limestone-rich soils of the region and is ideal for the production of classic sherries. For an Oloroso, the base wine is fortified so that no flor yeast is produced. As a result, the wine matures purely oxidatively in the solera system in wooden barrels, whereby it gains concentration, depth and aromatic complexity over time.In the glass, the Oloroso has a deep amber color. The bouquet is intense and multi-layered with aromas of roasted almonds, walnuts and dried fruit, accompanied by notes of caramel, spices and fine wood.
