The Simonsig Chenin Blanc has a bright straw colour. On the nose, wonderfully refreshing aromas of passion fruit, watermelon and guava. The palate offers an invigorating acidity that accentuates the fruitiness of this white wine. Mainly aromas of kiwi and tropical fruit dominate this wine from the Stellenbosch region. This sparkling wine from South Africa is a blend consisting of the Pinot Noir, Pinotage and Pinot meunier grape varieties. The Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé offers notes of fresh red berries, rose petals, crunchy green apples and nuances of candyfloss in its bouquet. On the palate, the stimulating sparkling wine is dry, creamy and sophisticated, with a crisp acidity. Its finish is refined with nuances of quince, creating a pleasant taste experience. The elegant Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) Brut Rosé is awarded four out of five possible Platter stars. This composition has a lovely, lively sparkle and is thus a feast for the eyes as well. The wine is the result of an exemplary vintage. Simonsig Pick of the Bunch Pinotage

The Simonsig Pick of the Bunch Pinotage has a dark red color. The aromas of sweet red fruits and cherries are dominant and captivating from the start. The grand finale then features notes of blackcurrant and velvety, silky tannins.Frans Malan, the founder of Simonsig Estate, presented his estate's first red wine in 1970 with a Pinotage. It is deliberately not aged in wood in order to emphasize the fruitiness and bring out the raspberry notes. Our recommendation: Enjoy the wine four to eight years after the harvest. Pinotage has a wonderful ageing potential. Your patience will pay off! The wine is a wonderful accompaniment to grilled food or ideal with Indian cuisine.

Simonsig Redhill Pinotage

The Redhill Pinotage from the Simonsig winery is redolent of plums, mulberries and cherries, complemented by fine, subtle nuances of vanilla. The grapes come from old, low-yield bush vines that are cultivated without wire trellis training systems. However, the vines produce grapes that are more concentrated. On the palate, the Simonsig Redhill Pinotage offers fine tannins, an elegant length and a good structure. Its finish is characterised by spicy nuances of cedar. The pure varietal Pinotage matured for 15 months in predominantly French oak casks. A small percentage of this wine was aged in American oak. You’ll enjoy discovering this high-quality red wine from South Africa with tuna, roasted pork, saddle of lamb and salads with crisp duck, for example.
