This Chardonnay is made from 100% carefully hand-picked grapes, with 75% coming from the sun-drenched vineyards of Stellenbosch and 25% from the cooler vineyards of Elgin. The Stellenbosch grapes matured for ten months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, while the Elgin grapes were matured in used barrels.A deep, powerful Chardonnay with seductive honey notes appears in the glass. The partial wood ageing gives the wine a refined note and underlines the tropical fruit aromas and fresh, lime-like characteristics. Made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 12% Petit Verdot, the grapes were harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrels and then matured for 16 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which were new barrels, before being bottled.In the glass, the Umsasane has a deep red, intense color and seduces the nose with complex aromas of black cherries, apricot jam, lavender and fine herbal notes. For this exceptional Vintage Port, fully ripe grapes from young Touriga Nacional vines and old Tinta Barocca vines (planted in 1968) are hand-picked. After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in traditional lagares and pressed intensively by hand (pigeage). Harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, the grapes are fermented naturally for four days in traditional lagars, with regular, gentle pigeage every four hours. After enrichment with fine wine distillate, the young Hanepoot matures for six months in stainless steel tanks before being carefully blended and bottled.In the glass, it shines lemon yellow with a lime green rim.
