The Decoy California Zinfandel is an expressive and multi-layered wine from the renowned Duckhorn portfolio, which has stood for the highest quality and craftsmanship for over 30 years. It reflects the fascination and power of this typical Californian grape variety and combines intensity with elegance.

The cuvée consists of 86% Zinfandel, 12% Petite Sirah and 2% Carignane. On the nose, the wine develops seductive aromas of boysenberry, black cherry, mocha and cinnamon. On the palate, it is generous and opulent, with juicy notes of stewed berries and ripe plums carried by rich, supple tannins. Undertones of oak spice add depth and complexity, while the finish is powerful and persistent.

The wine gets its structure and balance from ageing for 11 months in French oak, using 40% new and 60% neutral barrels. This maturation harmoniously rounds off the fruity aromas without masking the fresh, lively nature of the wine.

The Decoy Zinfandel is a wine full of energy and expressiveness that is ideal with grilled meat, hearty pasta dishes or spicy cheese. A Californian with a strong character that reflects the full diversity of this traditional grape variety.

Decoy California Merlot is an impressive example of the passion and skill of the Duckhorn Portfolio team, founded over 30 years ago by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. With deep roots in the Californian wine world, Decoy today stands for wines of the highest quality that combine the elegance of the grape varieties and the diversity of outstanding sites.The cuvée consists of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and expresses the classic finesse of the grape variety. On the nose, the wine develops opulent aromas of black cherry, ripe boysenberry and sweet baking spices, accompanied by subtle nuances of leather, black olives and cardamom. It is balanced and supple on the palate, with juicy fruit expression, silky tannins and subtle spice. The finish is long, characterized by dark cherry and fine spicy notes.The wine owes its special depth to careful ageing: 12 months in French oak, 40% of which is in new barrels and 60% in neutral barrels. This gives it structure and complexity without pushing the fruit into the background.The Decoy Merlot is a versatile companion that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with dishes such as braised beef, grilled lamb or spicy mushroom ragouts. This wine from Rombauer is a wonderful example of the qualities that a Californian Zinfandel can achieve. The dark purple-colored composition of Zinfandel and a very small proportion of Petite Sirah has a seductively intense aroma of blackberries, boysenberries, plums and cherries. Subliminal notes of vanilla and licorice as well as spicy aromas round off the exceptionally complex bouquet. On the palate, the Rombauer Zinfandel is velvety and fresh, with finely polished tannins and great length. the Zinfandel matured for 14 months in American and French oak barrels, with 10 percent new American barrels being used. The grapes come from vines in the Californian counties of El Dorado, Amador, Lake and Napa. Der Stellenzicht Tristone Cabernet Sauvignon stammt aus der für diese Rebsorte bestens bekannte Weinregion Stellenbosch in Südafrika. Tristone bezieht sich auf die drei Arten von Sandsteinböden, auf denen der Cabernet-Sauvignon auf dem Weingut angebaut wird. Jede Bodenart verleiht dem Wein ein einzigartiges Element. Dieser Wein bringt das Terroir dieser Böden durch seine elegante Balance zwischen Frucht, Struktur und anhaltenden Tanninen zur Geltung.Die Farbe ist typisch für einen Cabernet Sauvignon, dunkles rot mit leichten violetten Reflexen. Die Nase des Tristone Cabernet von Stellenzicht zeigt sich sehr aromatisch mit Noten nach Cassis, blauen Früchten und Zeder. Der Wein reift nach der Gärung für 18 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern, was zu festen, trockenen, kalkhaltigen Tanninen führt.
