Eine Cuvee aus den Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot und Petit Verdot. Es handelt sich also um einen sogenannten Bordeaux Blend. Ein dunkles Violett im Glas lässt schon die Komplexität dieses Rotweines erahnen. Die Nase zeigt sich verführerisch und dicht. Der Anthonij Rupert Optima duftet herrlich nach Pfeffer und dunklen Früchten. Am Gaumen wunderbar elegant und geschmeidig mit Noten von Blaubeere, Cassis, Zedernholz, Veilchen, Kakao und Zigarrenkiste. Die samtige Textur mit feinen geschliffenen Tanninen verleiht dem Wein eine besondere Raffinesse. Dabei sind die Eichenaromen stets harmonisch integriert. 20 Monate verbrachte der Antonij Rupert Optima in Barrique Fässern, was ihm eine umfangreiche Aromatik gibt. 

In allen Belangen ein besonderer Rotwein. Anthonij Rupert Optima genießt man am besten zu Steak vom Grill oder einem indischen Curry Gericht.

Der Boekenhoutskloof Chocolate Block ist ein unverwechselbares Geschmackserlebnis aus Südafrika. In der Nase vereint dieser Blend aus knapp drei Viertel Syrah (Shiraz) sowie kleineren Anteilen von Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Cinsault und Viognier vielfältige Noten: Intensive Kirschnoten, Kardamom, süßer Tabak, Espresso und ein Hauch von Parfüm kommen hier zusammen. Am Gaumen vollmundig und rund, mit sehr guter Struktur, erfrischender Säure, einer rauchigen Mineralität und Aromen von schwarzen Oliven, sowie Lakritz und reifen Pflaumen.Für 16 Monate wurde der Boekenhoutskloof Chocolate Block im Eichenholz ausgebaut, wobei zu 10% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. The grapes for this wine come from the Groenekloof region located in the wine-growing region of Darling, where the days are warm and the nights are cool, so that there is a significant temperature difference.This, in combination with the dark red soils consisting of decomposed granite, gives the wine its unique mix of dark and red fruit aromas. The wine is wonderfully concentrated and soft, with a juicy tannin structure. The Protea Cabernet Sauvignon is round, soft, light and well-balanced on the palate, offering clearly noticeable, fruity aromas of plums, dark berries and cherries, along with fine notes of spices. The fruit aromas wonderfully unite with the notes of oak, resulting in a long, harmonious finish.This wine can be enjoyed simply on its own to finish off the day. The grapes for the Protea Chardonnay from the Anthonij Rupert estate come from different vineyards located in the wine-growing regions of Franschhoek and Robertson. The grapes of individual parcels of land were vinified separately and partly aged in French oak casks in order to give the wine a higher complexity and structure. In the end, all grapes were blended and bottled. On the nose, the Anthonij Rupert Protea Chardonnay offers aromas of blood orange, grapefruit and lemon. On the palate as well, the wine offers lively notes of citrus fruit and noticeable juicy aromas of blood orange and grapefruit. Due to its fresh texture, the wine is wonderfully juicy and fully developed. The Protea Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to all kinds of hearty salads. It also goes beautifully with Thai cuisine.

Der Chenin Blanc aus der Protea Serie von Anthonij Rubert zeigt die ganze Klasse der Traube aus südafrikanischem Anbau. Im Glas wunderbar klar und mit einem leichten Funkeln spielt die ansprechende Nase mit Noten von Nektarine, hellem Pfirsich und gereifter Birne. Am Gaumen ist der Wein saftig und frisch mit Noten von Steinfrüchten. The Protea Pinot Grigio is truly sprightly and juicy on the palate, showing effervescent notes of stone fruit and fresh, stimulating aromas of citrus fruit. The medium body shows delicious fruit intensified by a vivid acidity. The Anthonij Rupert Protea has a round, rich, dry and sparklingly clean finish. The grapes for the Protea Shiraz come from vineyards located in the Darling region in South Africa where the soils consist mainly of sand and clay. These soils provide ideal growth conditions for the Shiraz grapes. The wine is an intense dark red in colour. It has a wonderful bouquet with aromas of ripe plums, black cherries, spices and dark soil. Complemented by a delicate note of smoke, these aromas continue unabated on the palate. The taste of the Protea Shiraz recalls bilberries, plums, cloves, anise and fine fire clay. The wine has soft and juicy tannins, giving it good concentration and length, with a soft and accessible structure.The Protea Shiraz is an excellent accompaniment to various dishes, beautifully complementing savoury pastries, cold cuts or ham.

Nur die besten Trauben finden den Weg in den Wein. Sowohl die Gärung als auch die anschließende durchschnittlich 21 Monate dauernde Reifung fand in französischen Eichenfässern statt. Danach wurde der Anthonij Rupert Syrah ungefiltert auf die Flaschen gefüllt und reifte darin für weitere 2 Jahre. Der Rotwein duftet herrlich nach Veilchen, Pflaume, Himbeere und Vanille. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Wein verblüffend komplex, aber extrem facettenreich. Schöne Fruchtnoten stehen im Einklang mit Gewürznoten und einer sanft integrierten Tanninstruktur. Auch der Abgang ist saftig ausgewogen und von überzeugender Länge. Für einen langen Abend vor dem Kamin oder als Begleiter zu einem Festtagsessen werden Sie kaum was Besseres finden. Öffnen Sie den Wein mindestens zwei Stunden vor dem Genuss und geben sie ihm etwas Zeit sich im Glas zu entwickeln.
