Der Chenin Blanc aus der Protea Serie von Anthonij Rubert zeigt die ganze Klasse der Traube aus südafrikanischem Anbau. Im Glas wunderbar klar und mit einem leichten Funkeln spielt die ansprechende Nase mit Noten von Nektarine, hellem Pfirsich und gereifter Birne. Am Gaumen ist der Wein saftig und frisch mit Noten von Steinfrüchten. Der Protea Chenin Blanc schmeckt nach Wassermelone und lebhaft nach Birne.

Der Wein stammt aus den Anbaugebieten Swartland und Voor-Paardeberg und zeigt in der Mitte breite, aber sanfte Hefenoten. Ein rundum gut ausbalancierter, leckerer Wein mit langanhaltendem Abgang.

Der Protea Chenin Blanc empfiehlt sich als Terrassenwein an heißen Sommertagen genauso gut wie zu knackigen Salaten aller Art.

The grapes for this wine come from the Groenekloof region located in the wine-growing region of Darling, where the days are warm and the nights are cool, so that there is a significant temperature difference.This, in combination with the dark red soils consisting of decomposed granite, gives the wine its unique mix of dark and red fruit aromas. The wine is wonderfully concentrated and soft, with a juicy tannin structure. The grapes for the Protea Shiraz come from vineyards located in the Darling region in South Africa where the soils consist mainly of sand and clay. These soils provide ideal growth conditions for the Shiraz grapes. The wine is an intense dark red in colour. It has a wonderful bouquet with aromas of ripe plums, black cherries, spices and dark soil. Complemented by a delicate note of smoke, these aromas continue unabated on the palate. The taste of the Protea Shiraz recalls bilberries, plums, cloves, anise and fine fire clay.
