The Castagnedi brothers from the Tenuta Sant Antonio estate gave the name ‘Scaia’, which means ‘chips of stone, chalk or lime’ to an entire line of wines. It is a tribute to the soils on which the grapes for this unique young wine grow.The Corvina grapes for the Tenuta Sant Antonio Scaia Corvina Rossa are gently pressed after harvest and subsequently fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The result is a ruby-red wine offering flowery notes of roses and violets and fruity aromas of wild berries, cherries, plums, blackberries, red and black currants and raspberries in its bouquet.
