Zenato Ripassa della Valpolicella

The Zenato Ripassa della Valpolicella from Zenato is a carefully composed product that convincingly combines the best characteristics of the Valpolicella wines of Veneto. A second fermentation of the batches from Valpolicella and six months of ageing in the bottle give the wine a very intense, long character. The deep red, velvety color alone gives an idea of the broad tableau with which this wine will impress. And the Ripassa does not disappoint. Complex berry aromas delight the nose and palate. The extremely long finish lingers gently on the tongue and is one of the strongest characteristics of this wine from Italy.

The Ripassa della Valpolicella has brought the Zinato winery to the attention of wine connoisseurs who like to experiment. We recommend a drinking temperature of 18°C. Strong game and red meat are the best aromatic counterweights for this wine.

Zenato Valpolicella Superiore
The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance). This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities. For years, Valpolicella has been one of Italy’s most famous wines. Unfortunately, one can find many Valpolicella wines of poor quality on the market but fortunately, we don’t have to worry about this as far as Zenato wines are concerned, as Zenato produces only high-quality wines.
