Tenuta Sant Antonio Scaia Corvina Rossa

The Castagnedi brothers from the Tenuta Sant Antonio estate gave the name ‘Scaia’, which means ‘chips of stone, chalk or lime’ to an entire line of wines. It is a tribute to the soils on which the grapes for this unique young wine grow.

The Corvina grapes for the Tenuta Sant Antonio Scaia Corvina Rossa are gently pressed after harvest and subsequently fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The result is a ruby-red wine offering flowery notes of roses and violets and fruity aromas of wild berries, cherries, plums, blackberries, red and black currants and raspberries in its bouquet. The red wine is intense and full-bodied on the palate, showing a good structure and length.

The Scaia Corvina Rossa goes beautifully with pasta and risotto dishes, red meat, polenta with herring and ripe cheeses.

Lenotti Capomastro Veneto Rosso IGT
The Lenotti Capomastro has a lovely, intense bouquet hinting of red berries. This particularly fruity and refreshing red wine is full-bodied, well structured, dry and very harmonious on the palate. The silky tannins are nicely integrated. This red wine from vineyards located on the southern shore of Lake Garda is a blend consisting of Corvina and Rebo grapes. The Rebo grapes are a hybrid of Merlot and Teroldego grape varieties. The Corvina and Rebo grapes are picked about two weeks after the “regular” harvest. Lenotti Le Crosare Ripasso Valpolicella Classico DOC
The Lenotti Le Crosare Ripasso Valpolicella Classico DOC is a successful blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, as is characteristic of the Veneto region. The cuvée from Cantine Lenotti gets its typical taste from the Amarone process and one year of ageing in oak barrels. The eye is delighted by the deep dark color, while the nose perceives intense notes of cloves, vanilla and a hint of coffee and chocolate, which is embedded in the aromas of black berries. This ensemble continues on the palate and becomes a full-bodied experience with a hint of chocolate. The assemblage reveals its full power once again in the long finish. This velvety wine from Italy goes well with all types of meat that have an intense aroma and are also well-seasoned and cooked with intense heat. Rustic pasta dishes and mature cheeses are also ideal. A drinking temperature of 18 to 19 °C and decanting are always recommended.

Zenato Valpolicella Superiore
The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance). This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities. For years, Valpolicella has been one of Italy’s most famous wines. Unfortunately, one can find many Valpolicella wines of poor quality on the market but fortunately, we don’t have to worry about this as far as Zenato wines are concerned, as Zenato produces only high-quality wines.
