The G.D. Vajra Dolcetto d'Alba DOC is an authentic representative of Piedmontese wine culture and a prime example of the Dolcetto grape variety. With its bright purple color and intense aroma of rose petals, raspberries, cassis and fine spicy notes, this red wine develops an expressive yet harmonious interplay of aromas. On the palate, the red wine is fresh and lively, with juicy fruit, soft tannins and a finely balanced body.The grapes come from our own vineyards, which are between 25 and 60 years old. They lie on calcareous soils at a higher altitude, which gives the grapes a longer ripening period and a particularly aromatic character. The wine is matured exclusively in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the freshness and varietal typicity of the Dolcetto.With its lively character and moderate alcohol content, this Dolcetto d'Alba is a versatile accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine. It is an excellent accompaniment to pasta with tomato sauces, antipasti, grilled vegetables or mild cheese.Recommended drinking temperature: 14-16 °C

G.D. Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2023

The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC from G.D. Vajra stands for the pure expressiveness of the grape variety. This red wine impresses with its aromatic depth, elegance and freshness - a real flagship for Piedmont and the potential of Nebbiolo outside of Barolo.The grapes come from young vineyards in both main geological zones of the Barolo region. The calcareous soils of the Tortonian and Serravalli formations provide structure, fruit and mineral clarity. Viticulture is organic, with a focus on sustainability, biodiversity and a lot of manual work.The grapes are harvested in October in the early hours of the morning. A maceration period of up to 26 days and subsequent ageing in stainless steel tanks for around six months preserve freshness and varietal typicity.The wine is a bright garnet red in the glass. Floral and fruity notes of roses, raspberries and mineral accents on the nose. Juicy and precise on the palate with aromas of cherry, sour cherry, wild strawberry and fine spice. Fresh acidity and silky tannins ensure a harmonious mouthfeel.This elegant Nebbiolo is an excellent accompaniment to tagliatelle with ragout, mushroom dishes, grilled lamb or mature cheese. Ideally served at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C to bring out its aromatic depth and structure.

Winemaker Stefano Chiarlo is rightly proud of the Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Barbera Nizza. "A wine with intense notes of raspberries and small red fruits, combined with a sweet and delicate spiciness. The taste experience is a rare balance (thanks to the vintage) between opulence, freshness and spiciness on the finish." International wine critics also agree that Barbera d'Asti is something special: 94 points in Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from James Suckling speak for themselves.The varietal Barbera combines notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and sweet tobacco in its bouquet. Paolo Manzone Barolo Meriame DOCG 2020

Wow: 95 Punkte im Decanter, 93 Punkte von Luca Maroni, 91 Punkte von James Suckling. Der Paolo Manzone Barolo Meriame 2018 ist ein italienischer Rotwein der Spitzenklasse. Angesichts der Rahmenbedingungen nur folgerichtig, und trotzdem bemerkenswert, was das renommierte Weingut Paolo Manzone hier erneut geschaffen hat.Die Trauben für den Barolo stammen vollständig aus der Lage Meriame, auf der die Rebstöcke 70 Jahre alt sind. Hier reifen Beeren mit einer großen Aromenkonzentration heran, die diesen Nebbiolo so eindrucksvoll machen.Das Bouquet ist faszinierend vielschichtig. Noten von dunklen Kirschen, Brombeeren, wilden Erdbeeren und Maulbeeren im Vordergrund. Sie harmonieren wunderbar mit unterschwelligen Tönen von getrockneten Rosenblättern, Lakritz, Teer, Kaffee, Vanille und würziger Eiche. Nuancen von Leder und Balsamico runden die Duftvielfalt ab.Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus dem Piemont trocken, vollmundig und kraftvoll. Mit großer Konzentration und Ausgewogenheit von Frucht, Tannin und Holz sowie merklichen, aber gekonnt eingebundenen Tanninen. Das Aromenspiel ist ein Hochgenuss. Auch hier zeigen sich Anklänge von Kirschen und Lakritz, vor allem im Finale.Der rubinrote Barolo reifte 24 Monate lang im Eichenholz, dabei zu mindestens 50 % in großen slawonischen Holzfässern (1.500 Liter), der übrige Anteil in französischen Tonneaux (350 Liter), von denen zu etwa einem Drittel neue Fässer verwendet wurden.
