The Cantina Luigi Pira Barolo Serralunga has a ruby red color with orange reflections. It comes in part from vines that are over 50 years old. The wine was aged for 24 months in oak barrels. The bouquet offers marks of a classic Barolo. A fresh, elegant 100% Nebbiolo, with aromas of leather, hay, earthy tones and spicy nuances. On the palate, round, with a remarkable balance of acidity, fruitiness and tannins. A Barolo that leaves a lasting impression. The grapes for this wine come largely from the lower regions of the “Cru-vineyards” Marenca and Margheria. A wonderful creation of Cantina Pira Luigi from Serralunga d'Alba.

Die Cantina Pira Luigi liegt in Serralunga d'Alba und damit im Herzen des Barolo-Gebietes im Piemont. In den 1950er-Jahren verschrieb sich Luigi Pira ganz dem Anbau der Reben. In den 1990er-Jahren erhielt Luigi Unterstützung durch seinen Sohn Gianpaolo, später stießen noch die Brüder Romolo und Claudio dazu. Ein wahrer Familienbetrieb, der sich leidenschaftlich dem Weinbau widmet.

Die Cantina Pira Luigi bewirtschaftet 12 Hektar Anbaufläche, unter denen sich drei besonders hochwertige Lagen befinden, die der Rebsorte Nebbiolo und mithin der Kreation von faszinierenden Barolo-Weinen gewidmet sind. Nebbiolo für Barolo-Weine wird auf 6 Hektar angebaut, Barbera auf 2 Hektar, Dolcetto auf 2,5 Hektar und Nebbiolo für Langhe Nebbiolo auf 1,5 Hektar.
