The Neethlingshof Cabernet Sauvignon grows in Tukulu soils, a type of soil found specifically in South Africa, which consists of old granites that have decomposed. These soils have good water penetration and retention, are fertile, with a high clay content.The color of the Neethlingshof Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby red. The bouquet shows lots of plum, cherry, blackcurrant and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is rich and full, with ripe fruit flavors supported by soft tannins.The grape juice was aged for 8 months in second-fill French wooden barrels. This gave the wine a soft woody note.The Neethlingshof Cabernet Sauvignon is a delicious all-rounder that goes well with red and white meat dishes as well as pasta and mild cheese.This dry South African red wine is vegan.

The traditional Neethlingshof wine estate combines centuries-old winemaking skills with modern technology to create expressive wines with South African character. Malbec, originally native to France and made famous worldwide by Argentina, shows its very own interpretation here - with depth, spice and fine fruit.The grapes come from carefully selected plots and are harvested when fully ripe. After destemming and a short cold maceration, the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit and structure in the best possible way. The wine then matures for several months in French oak barrels. This maturation gives the Neethlingshof Malbec fine roasted aromas, notes of dark chocolate, cedar wood and vanilla, which combine harmoniously with the juicy fruit of blackberry, plum and cassis. Fermentation and ageing are carried out with a particular focus on balance and finesse: The Marathon is fermented in small, upright French oak barrels.
