Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc 2023

The Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc consists of grapes that come from two different vineyards. One of the vineyards is already 19 years old and located 450 metres above sea level. The grapes from these vines give the wine its complexity. The vines that grow in the second vineyard are only 4 years old, giving the wine its freshness. In order to protect the grapes from heat stress, the harvest was carried out early in the morning. After repeated selection in the cellar, the grapes were pressed at a temperature of approximately 57.2 °F. The must remained in contact with the skin for about 6 hours. Subsequently, the wine was fermented at a temperature of 53.6 to 57.2 °F for a period of 10 days. On the nose, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc offers various aromas such as notes of green apple, Asian fruit, pears, white peach and lemon grass. It is soft and creamy on the palate, showing an intense minerality and a surprisingly long finish.Thanks to its vivid acidity, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc goes beautifully with goat’s cheese and seafood salads.

The Lomond Sauvignon Blanc comes from the renowned Cape Agulhas wine region in South Africa, near the southernmost point of the continent. The Lomond Wine Estate is located close to the coast, which gives the wine its characteristic freshness.This Sauvignon Blanc has a clear, light yellow color with lime green reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of tropical fruits such as pineapple and passion fruit, accompanied by white pear, stone fruit and nuances of lime leaf and lemongrass. Almost 80% of their vineyards are not irrigated, are rather low-yielding and more than half of them are "bush vines", i.e. vines without wire frame training.
