Le B par Maucaillou Bordeaux Superieur AOC 2020

Der Le B par Maucaillou 2020 ist der Bordeaux Supérieur vom berühmten Château Maucaillou aus der renommierten Appellation Moulis. Maucaillou heißt übersetzt so viel wie schlechte Steine, was aus dem Kontext der Zeit der Namensgebung des Weinguts darauf hindeutet, dass der Boden aufgrund der dortigen großen Kiesel nicht für eine normale Landwirtschaft taugte. Die Kehrseite der Medaille war aber, dass das Terroir ideal für den Weinbau ist und Maucaillou seither fantastische Rebsäfte produziert, die in großen Jahrgängen, wie 2020, richtige Trouvaillen sind.Le B spiegelt die Frucht seines großen Bruders, dem Grand Vin, wieder und ist ein absoluter gute Laune-Knaller. Selten hat uns ein junger Bordeaux-Wein - mit einem solchen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - direkt aus der Flasche heraus mit seinem Charme und seiner vollen und frischen Frucht begeistert. Wir hatten fast den Eindruck, einen guten Kalifornier vor uns stehen zu haben, so opulent verführte uns das tiefe Himbeerbukett dieses Weins.Pascal und Magalie Dourthe, die Eigentümer von Château Maucaillou bezeichnen diesen Rebsaft, der zur vollen roten Frucht auch noch schöne Röstnoten, Mokka und Gewürznoten präsentiert, als den perfekten Einstieg in das Universum dieses Weinguts. Dem kann man nur zustimmen.

Le Marquis de Calon Ségur 2018 2021

Der Merlot-Anteil dieses Weins ist höher als beim Grand Vin (53% und 47% Cabernet Sauvignon), so dass der Marquis früher trinkreif sein dürfte, jedoch immer noch zu den Langstreckenläufern aus dieser Appellation gehört. 17 Monate Fassausbau in 30% Neuholz machen diesen Wein zu einem hedonistischen Erlebnis, wie Robert Parker es formuliert.Die Farbe ist ein tiefes Purpur-Schwarz, in der Nase Kräuter, Pflaume, Minze, Creme de Cassis, Kirsche, Himbeere und Sandelholz. Le Petit Haut Lafitte Rouge 2019

Dass kleine Brüder aber auch nicht ohne sein können, zeigt der 2015er Petit Haut Lafitte, der aus jüngeren Reben des Gutes gewonnen wird, aber mit der selben Hingabe im Weinkeller hergestellt wird. Der Wein reift für 14 Monate in 20% neuen Eichenfässern, die in der eigenen Küferei gefertigt werden.Der Petit Haut Lafitte 2015 ist von dunkler und intensiv-roter Farbe. Die Nase zeigt einen eleganten Mix aus roten und dunklen Früchten, Kirsche, Himbeere, Johannisbeere und etwas Kräuternoten. Am Gaumen sehr füllig und konzentriert mit schönen, geschliffenen Tanninen. Ein Korb frischer Früchte, Eukalyptus, getrocknete Kräuter und etwas florale Anflüge.Dieser Wein ist derzeit auf der Höhe der Trinkreife, die noch mindestens 5 Jahre andauern kann.Sowohl als Solo-Wein auf der Terrasse ein Genuss, aber auch ausgezeichnet zu Käse, Hackfleisch-Aufläufen oder zu Gegrilltem.James Suckling: 92-93; James Molesworth: 89-92; Wine Spectator: 89-92; Tim Atkin: 92

Les Forts de Latour 2011

Château Latour ranks among the most famous wine producers in the world. Its second wine Les Forts de Latour is produced with the same precision brought to bear in the grand vin. The main differences are that the Les Forts de Latour has a higher percentage of Merlot (25-30%) and it matured in oak casks, of which 50% were new barrels.The Les Forts de Latour 2011 is a deep, dense purple in the glass. Fruitiness and floral notes characterize its bouquet. On the palate, the wine is sumptuous and velvety, with a complex, powerful and prolonged finish. Bordeaux expert René Gabriel writes about this assemblage consisting of 61.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 0.5% Cabernet Franc: “This wine has a brilliant, baroque, quite warm Cabernet bouquet hinting of coffee and dark precious wood, with an amazing depth.” Robert Parker judges: “One of the finest second wines now being made.”

Les Pagodes de Cos 2018

Les Pagodes de Cos is the second wine from the renowned Château Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe, which, together with Château Montrose, has been at the top of the appellation for years. The grapes for "The Pagodas" from Cos - and the château, which resembles an Indian temple, really does have some - come from selected plots on the estate and give the wine its own personality. This is somewhat more accessible and perhaps a little less complex than the Grand Vin, but it is a pleasure to drink with its velvety texture, freshness and beautiful fruit.54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot give the wine its attractive, mineral and rather soft character. The emphasis here is clearly more on the fruit and an earlier drinking pleasure than with its big brother, which is a marathon runner and takes a long time to reach drinking maturity.Great black berry fruit, some coffee and tobacco on the nose. Round on the palate with a very beautiful, elegant structure. The tannins are well integrated and the finish is long and lingering.

Der Lion and the Lily Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon wird in einem kühnen, eigensinnigen Stil gekeltert. Vom französischen Weingut De Tutiac stammt diese herrliche Cuvée, in der die Trauben Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon vermählt sind. Gelegen in Bordeaux, eine der berühmtesten Weinanbauregion der Welt hat das Weingut sein Zuhause. Im Jahr 1974 schlossen sich eine Handvoll Winzer aus der Region Bordeaux in einem kleinen Dorf inmitten renommierter Weinberge zusammen. Der Löwe und die Lilie, die aus dem Wappen von Bordeaux stammen, verkörpern Stärke, Schönheit und den Schutz der Natur.Im Glas zeigt sich der trockene Rotwein in einem schönen, glänzenden Violett. Dank des Merlots ist der Wein weich und vollmundig mit einer eleganten Rundheit. Der Cabernet Sauvignon sorgt für Struktur und Aromen von schwarzen Früchten. Sein Abgang ist aromatisch angefüllt mit einem Hauch Vanille und würzigen Noten.

Madame de Beaucaillou Haut-Medoc 2020

Der Madame de Beaucaillou, aus dem "outstanding"-Jahrgang 2020, stammt vom renommierten Château Ducru-Beaucaillou aus der Appellation Saint-Julien. Wenn ein Wein das Synonym für Finesse, Tiefe und perfekte Struktur ist, dann ist es dieses Weingut vom linken Ufer, das in der Klassifikation von 1855 als deuxième Cru geadelt wurde.Der Madame de Beaucaillou , bestehend aus 66% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Petit Verdot, ist eine leichtere Spielart des Grand Vin, mit mehr Betonung auf der Frucht und Zugänglichkeit, bedingt durch den deutlich höheren Merlot Anteil. Obschon Ducru-Beaucaillou in Saint-Julien ansässig ist, liegen die Weinberge des Madame de Beaucaillou im Haut-Médoc, so dass er dieser AOC zugerechnet wird.Er reift für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern nach mit einem Neufassanteil von 20%.Eine tief violette Farbe begrüsst das Auge. In der Nase viel rote Früchte, Pflaumen, süsse Kirschen und Veilchenimpressionen. Am Gaumen schön rund, stoffig und mit einem wahren Fruchtkorb roter und dunkler Beerenfrüchte. Der Nachhall ist lang und spiegelt die Eindrücke am Gaumen perfekt wieder. Insgesamt eine sehr gelungene Mixtur von Frische, Struktur und Frucht, die uns hier mehr als begeistert hat.

Eine außergewöhnlich fruchtige Kreation vom Château Mangot: Der Marmot de La Brande wird nur sechs Monate nach der Ernte in Flaschen abgefüllt! Ausbau im Edelstahltank, kein Einsatz von Holz, Nutzung von einheimischen Hefen, kein Schnickschnack, einfach nur die pure Freude am Fruchterlebnis.50% Cabernet Franc und 50% Merlot wurden in diesem französischen Rotwein aus dem Anbaugebiet Côtes de Bordeaux vermählt. Das eindrucksvolle Ergebnis: Intensive Noten von saftigen schwarzen Johannisbeeren, die wunderbar harmonieren mit hintergründigen Noten von Lakritz und Eukalyptus. Dazu kommt eine Minz-Frische, die den Duftstrauß endgültig zu etwas wirklich Besonderem macht. Am Gaumen ist der Marmot de La Brande trocken und kraftvoll, mit merklichen Tanninen, die das Trinkvergnügen prägen.Genießen Sie diesen Rotwein aus Lagen in Castillon, nur wenige Kilometer von Saint-Émilion entfernt, bei einer Trinktemperatur von 16 bis 18 Grad.

Plaisir de Siaurac 2022

Ohne Zweifel wird man feststellen müssen, dass das Château Siaurac einer der Stars der Appellation Lalande de Pomerol ist, gelegen in direkter Nachbarschaft zur bekannten Appellation Pomerol. Seit 1832 im Besitz der Familie Guichard ist dieses wunderschöne Anwesen nicht nur eine bauliche Ikone, sondern auch die Weine sind ständig im Aufwind, und das bei noch sehr moderater Preisgestaltung.Der Plaisir de Siaurac ist der Zweitwein des Châteaus in Frankreich, das seit dem Jahr 2016 ausschließlich biologische und biodynamische Anbautechniken einsetzt. Der 2022er Plaisir de Siaurac ist für uns eine der Entdeckungen dieses wundervollen Jahrganges, der eine echte Alternative zu wesentlich teureren Pomerols darstellt. Er setzt sich zusammen aus 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc und 5% Malbec. Die Betonung liegt dabei auf seiner schönen Frucht, verbunden mit sehr feinen und geschliffenen Tanninen. Dies liegt auch an den idealen Wetterbedingungen, bei dem die warmen Tage und kühlen Nächte dazu beitrugen, dass die Tannine samtig ausfielen und den Rotwein balancieren, aber nicht dominieren.Mit wie viel Liebe zum Detail der Plaisir de Siaurac 2022 bereitet wurde, zeigt sich auch daran, dass im Juni ein individueller Laubrückschnitt je nach Bedarf der Parzellen vorgenommen wurde, um jeder Lage gerecht zu werden.Wir empfehlen, den 2022er Plaisir de Siaurac etwa 1 Stunde vor dem Genuss zu dekantieren. Er wird noch mindestens 5 Jahre seine Genussreife halten und überzeugt sowohl als fruchtiger Sommerbegleiter, als auch als food-pairing mit rotem Fleisch, Gegrilltem und einem guten Steak.

Ségla is the second wine from the renowned Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux. In the last two decades, Rauzan-Ségla has almost always been one of the top trio in the Margaux appellation, alongside the appellation's namesake and Château Palmer.The vintage was an extraordinarily good one, one speaks here of a vintage of the century.
