Das Château Trotte Vieille ist ein 1er Grand Cru Classé aus Saint-Èmilion. Trotte Vieille, im Besitz des Handelshauses Borie-Manoux, zählt zu den herausragenden Vetretern dieser Appellation und vinifiziert in den letzten Jahren Weine auf einem glänzenden Niveau.
2018 war auch in Saint Èmilion ein Überfliegerjahr und so ist es kein Wunder, dass der 2018er Trotte Vieille in fast himmliche Stratosphären abhebt.
Die Assemblage besteht aus 54% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot und 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Der Wein verfügt über eine ungeheure Wucht, was seine Fruchtigkeit und Intensität betrifft; derzeit sollte er daher mindestens bis zum Ende der 2020er Jahre schlafen, dürfte dann aber ein sehr langes und trinkreifes Leben vor sich haben.
