Château Labégorce Margaux AOC 2018

Château Labégorce, located at the northern end of Margaux, is back on the map of the great wines of this appellation, and the 2018 vintage is no exception, quite the contrary. The vineyard extends over 70 hectares of vines, surrounded by such prestigious neighbors as Château Margaux and Château Lascombes.The cuvée consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine matures for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 40-50% of which are new barrels. In the glass, Château Labégorce 2018 is a deep purple-garnet with a black center. The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of ripe blackcurrants, cherries and cassis, accompanied by spicy notes such as tobacco, exotic woods and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky texture and well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and characterized by a subtle fruity sweetness and a pleasant freshness.Château Labégorce 2018 harmonizes perfectly with hearty dishes such as grilled beef, lamb chops, game dishes or stews. Matured cheese or black pudding also go well with this wine. For a special taste experience, we recommend pairing it with truffle aioli chicken hearts or wild boar with wild herb sauce.This wine has excellent ageing potential. Château Lalene Bordeaux Supérieur AOC 2020

Dieser herrliche, Merlot-dominierte Bordeaux Superieur überzeugt durch seine Geschmeidigkeit und Eleganz. Seit über 80 Jahren im Besitz der Familie Cioci, ist der Jahrgang des Châteaus Lalène besonders gut gelungen. In der Nase begegnen uns dunkle Früchte und Röstaromen. Saft und Frucht, viel Beerigkeit und gute Struktur erfreuen den Gaumen dieses Weins vom 5,5 ha großen Gut in Bossugnan. Das Finale ist lang, und der Barrique-Ausbau spiegelt sich in schönen Vanille-Noten wieder. Ein Preis-Leistungs Wunder, das Gegrilltes oder Hartkäse perfekt zu begleiten vermag.

Château Lanessan Haut-Médoc 2020

Bereits 1793 kaufte der Bordelaiser Weinhändler Jean Delbos das Rebland auf außerordentlich gutem Terroir, gelegen zwischen so renommierten Châteaux wie Gruaud-Larose und Beychevelle. Der trockene Rotwein wird vom Cabernet Sauvignon dominiert, mit etwa 1/3 Anteil Merlot und etwas Petit Verdot.Ein ganz klassischer und typischer Haut-Médoc Bordeaux, der durchaus etwas Lagerung verträgt und bis zum Jahre 2030 immer noch weiter zulegen wird. Paz Espejo, die im Jahre 2009 als Managerin das Gut übernommen hat, hat mit dem 2016er Jahrgang eine kleine Wein-Ikone geschaffen, die dem traditionellen Bild Bordeauxs huldigt. Gute Frucht, mittlerer Körper, durchaus präsente Tannine, viel rote Beeren, Kirsche, Cassis und eine wahre Fundgrube von Waldnoten bestimmen den Charakter des Château Lanessan Haut-Médoc, der dem Jahrgang entsprechend eine Hohe Qualität bietet. Der Abgang ist beeindruckend lang. Dieser noch sehr junge Wein aus Frankreich profitiert von einer Dekantierung von 1-2 Stunden und passt hervorragend zu Lamm, Steak, Hack- oder Schmorbraten.

Chateau Laroque Saint-Emilion Grand Cru AOP 2022

Der Château Laroque ist ein Grand Cru Classé aus der berühmten Appellation Saint-Émilion am rechten Ufer von Bordeaux. In früheren Jahren manchmal underrated, wird der Laroque in Parker´s Wine Advocat als „terrific effort“ bezeichnet, also als tolle oder bemerkenswerte Anstrengung.Die Assemblage dieses auch am rechten Ufer der Gironde hervorragenden Jahrgangs besteht zu 99% aus Merlot mit 1% Anteil von Cabernet Franc. Für 12 Monate lagerte dieser Rebsaft in französischen Eichenfässern, 50% davon Neuholz.Der Château Laroque ist von einem tiefdunklen Rubin mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase ein sehr einladendes Bukett von Edelholz, Schwarzkirsche, Mokka, Gewürze, etwas Leder, Lakritz und Jod. Am Gaumen viel Saft, sehr cremig und üppig, mit einer feinen Harmonie und Balance. Im langen Nachhall spiegeln sich die vielschichtigen Aromen wider.Wir empfehlen, den Château Laroque mindestens eine Stunde vor dem Genuss zu dekantieren. Der Wein hat ein Lagerpotential von mehreren Jahrzehnten.

Château Le Boscq Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois AOC 2019

Château Le Boscq ist Cru Buorgeois Exceptionel aus der nördlichsten Appellation des Médoc am linken Ufer von Bordeaux, nämlich aus Saint-Estèphe. Die Weine aus dieser Region gelten als besonders charaktervoll und langlebig; wenn dann noch ein Traum-Jahrgang wie 2019 hinzukommt, steht einem großartigen Bordeaux-Erlebnis nichts mehr im Wege. Die Assemblage besteht zu 46% aus Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot und 2% Cabernet Franc; Château Le Boscq reifte für 12 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern nach. Das Auge zeigt bereits die Tiefgründigkeit dieses Weines; ein rot-schwarzes Rubingranat mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase sehr expressive Schwarzbeerigkeit, Edelholzwürze, Cassis, Bleistift, Blaubeere, Maulbeeren und Kirsche. Dazu gesellen sich Waldfrüchte am Gaumen, Lakritz und viel Würze. Der Nachklang hält ausgesprochen lange an. Ein sehr intensives Weinerlebnis, mit Tanninen, die noch ausreifen müssen. Dieser Wein benötigt noch einige Zeit Ruhe, um zur vollen Genussreife und Entfaltung zu gelangen, was nicht untypisch für die Weine aus Saint-Estèphe ist.

Château Le Gardera Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge Bio 2019

Der Château Le Gardera ist ein wunderbarer "every-day" Bordeaux, der, nicht zuletzt aufgrund seines Ausnahmejahrganges und der Hingabe seiner Besitzer, die das Gut auf 16ha seit 2010 biologisch betreiben, mit weitaus höherpreisigen Bordeaux mithalten kann.Die Cuvée besteht aus 70% Merlot und 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Der Château Le Gardera ist von tiefer, rubinroter Farbe. In der Nase Aromen reifer Brombeeren, Pflaumen und Cassis. Der Gaumen zeigt Schokolade, Kaffee, etwas Gewürze und sehr samtige und geschliffene Tannine. Der Nachhall ist erstaunlich lang. Insgesamt ein Wein, der durch seine Fruchtigkeit und schöne Struktur gefällt und viel mehr bietet, als sein Preis erwarten lässt.Vor dem Genuss sollte dieser Wein derzeit etwa eine Stunde dekantiert werden. Er wird aber sicherlich noch bis 2027 viel Trinkfreude bereiten.Mit Freunden in geselliger Runde, zu Gegrilltem oder auch Hackauflauf und nicht zu intensiven Käsesorten ein toller Begleiter.

Der historisch anmutende Name ist übrigens gar nicht so alt, wie er klingt. Das Château hieß bis 1989 nur "Ladouys" und wurde vom Computer-Spezialisten Christian Thiéblot 1989 gekauft, der dem Château den Namen seiner Ehefrau Lilian Ladouys voranstellte.André Kunz beschreibt den Wein anläßlich der Fassprobe wie folgt: "59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot) Würziges, herbes, tiefes Bouquet, schwarze Beeren, Kohle, Edelhölzer, Korinthen, dunkler Tabak. Dichtverwobener, cremiger Gaumen mit kräftiger, süsser Frucht, viel gutem Tannin, muskulöser Struktur, vielfältiger, dunkler Aromatik, langer, aromatischer, herber Abgang".Beachten Sie bitte, dass Weine aus der Appellation Saint Estèphe Langläufer sind, die eine gewisse Zeit benötigen, um sich richtig zu entwickeln. Château Malescasse Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois AOP 2014

2020 wurde Château Malescasse in den Rang eines Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel gehoben, die höchste Stufe, die es innerhalb dieser Klassifikation zu erreichen gilt."Schuld" daran dürfte auch der 2014 Malescasse sein, der als erster Jahrgang unter Mitwirkung des Star-Önologen Stéphane Derononcourt entstand. 54% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Petit Verdot machen eine im besten Sinne runde Assemblage aus, wobei die malolaktische Gärung im Holzfass stattfand, bei 35% Neufassanteil und der Wein schließlich für volle 14 Monate in den Fässern nachreifen durfte.Eine rubinrote Farbe begrüßt uns, in der ausdrucksstarken Nase begegnen uns Schwarze Johannisbeere, Brombeere und Himbeere, alle mit einer schönen, reifen Note. Aromen von Röstmokka verleihen dem Wein eine große Eleganz und Komplexität. Am Gaumen sehr rund und stoffig, mit einem perfekten Spiel von Säure und Alkohol. Die Tannine sind seidig und führen zum ausgesprochen langanhaltenden und intensiven Ausklang hin.Wir empfehlen, den Wein mindestens eine halbe Stunde lang zu dekantieren.

Château Malescasse Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois AOP 2016

Dieser 2016er Cru bourgeois aus der renommierten Appellation Haut-Médoc ist der beste Beweis dafür. Die klassische Assemblage aus 53% Merlot, 38% Cabernet-Sauvignon und 9% Petit Verdot bringt einen verführerischen, vollmundigen und hervorragend ausbalancierten Wein hervor. Dieser Jahrgang profitiert insbesondere davon, dass der Cabernet-Sauvignon in Ruhe ausreifen konnte und mit seiner Eleganz ein schönes Gegenstück zur üppigen Frucht des Merlots darstellt. Der Wein begrüßt den Kenner mit einem tiefen Rubingranat. In der Nase dann viele dunkle Beeren, rote Kirschen und Grenadine. Am Gaumen komplex, mit süßer Frucht und Aromen von Pflaumen und gut integriertem Holz. Viel Würze, schöne, präsente Tanninstruktur und ein langer Abgang.Der Decanter beschreibt ihn als einen der besten Malescasse überhaupt und vergibt 91 Punkte. Bewertung Falstaff: 91-93 Punkte. Der Malescasse 2016 wird mindestens für 20 Jahre lagerfähig sein; die Trinkreife wird in 2-3 Jahren einsetzen. Wer ihn heute schon probieren möchte, sollte ihn mindestens zwei Stunden vorher dekantieren.Dieser klassische Haut-Médoc Wein, ist ein Genuss zu allem Gegrilltem, aber auch zu Hartkäse, Wild oder Pasta-Gerichten. Natürlich auch als Solo-Wein eine Gaumenfreude für lange Kaminabende, gern mit einem Stück dunkler Schokolade.
