The grapes come from exposed south-facing slopes of the Kamptal and Wagram, on loess and primary rock soils, with vines between 10 and 35 years old.Harvested by hand, spontaneously fermented and gently processed with the basket press, the Bernhard Ott Grüner Veltliner DER OTT is matured on the lees in Stockinger wooden barrels until July. The result impresses with its deep fruit aromas, Burgundian mouthfeel, elegant structure and complex variety of flavors. Vines up to 30 years old on loess, gneiss and gravel soils produce aromatic, structured grapes. They are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented spontaneously. Since 2018, part of the Bernhard Ott Grüner Veltliner FASS 4 has been matured in Stockinger wooden barrels, which lends depth, texture and character without masking freshness and elegance.In the glass, the wine is light yellow with greenish reflections.
