Kaiken Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Like "Kaikenes" - Patagonian wild geese crossing the Andes between Chile and Argentina - the famous winery Viña Montes has gone the way from Chile to Argentina to lead the project “Kaiken” to success. Kaiken uses the best growing areas of Argentina - Maipú, Cruz de Piedra, Ugarteche, Agrelo and Valle de Uco. The blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot comes from vineyards in Agrelo and Valle de Uco. It has a very dark reddish-purple colour. On the nose it offers the classic Cabernet aromas of black currants and juicy cherries, elegantly highlighted with the subtle scent of violets of Malbec and perfectly integrated oak notes. On the palate, Cabernet Sauvignon provides the juicy dark berry flavors, Malbec complements with silky mature tannins and Petit Verdot completes the blend with clear structure and depth, powerful with a rich, fresh fruit. The finale has a nice length. Enjoy the blend, matured to 50% for ten months in French oak barrels, with hearty lamb or roast beef in red wine sauce, grilled beef steaks, spicy pasta dishes and spicy mature cheeses.

Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

The Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-varietal top red wine from Stellenbosch in South Africa, vinified by star winemaker Abrie Beeslaar. The vines, which are over 30 years old, grow on weathered granite and Hutton soils and produce exceptionally concentrated grapes with a low yield.After traditional mash fermentation in open concrete fermenters and manual punching down of the mash, the red wine matured for 24 months in French oak (50% new). The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon of great depth, structure and elegance.It shines a deep garnet red in the glass. The nose reveals complex aromas of cassis, cigar box, cedar wood, laurel and fine peppers. Powerful and multi-layered on the palate with notes of black cherry, plum, walnut, vanilla and spices. Fine tannins, lively acidity and a long, elegant finish underline the ageing potential of this exceptional wine.The Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to grilled or braised beef, game, lamb with herbs or mature hard cheese.Recommended drinking temperature: 16-18 °C
