The Kaiken Ultra Cabernet Sauvignon combines the power of the Andes with elegant structure and aromatic depth. The high-altitude vineyards and the special climate of Mendoza give this Cabernet Sauvignon its characterful expression and balance.

In the glass, it is a deep purple to ruby red. The bouquet is spicy and characterized by a high aromatic intensity, with notes of pink pepper, red apple and a hint of menthol. With a little air, additional nuances of leather, honey, roasted sesame and sweet paprika unfold, adding complexity to the wine.

On the palate, the Kaiken Ultra Cabernet Sauvignon has a distinctive personality with a lively, medium to high acidity and round, well-integrated tannins. Aromas of roasted peppers, damp earth and fine honey notes characterize the taste. The finish is juicy, long-lasting and harmoniously balanced.

At a drinking temperature of 15-16 °C, this red wine is an excellent accompaniment to slow-roasted veal, spicy sliced beef or mature cheese.

Aurelio Montes und Douglas Murray gründeten Viña Montes 1987 („Discover Wine“). Ein Jahr später kamen Alfredo Vidaurre und Pedro Grand hinzu. Alle verschrieben sich einem Traum: chilenische Weine auf eine höhere Qualitätsstufe zu heben. Der Erfolg stellte sich schnell ein: der erste Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon erntete 1987 schon große Anerkennung und etablierte sich als Spitzenwein genauso schnell wie Alphas Chardonnay, Merlot und Shiraz. Von Beginn an war Montes Alpha ein Synonym für höchste Qualität aus Chile. Das Weingut legt großen Wert darauf, eine Erfolgsgeschichte zu schreiben, die zu 100 Prozent chilenisch ist.

Viña Montes leistete Pionierarbeit in Apalta, einer für den Weinbau außergewöhnlich geeigneten Region im Colchagua-Tal. Die Kreationen, die aus diesen Lagen stammen, beeindruckten die Kritiker weltweit: der erste Ultra-Premium-Wein oder Super-Chilene Montes Alpha ‘M’ im klassischen Bordeaux-Stil wurde 1996 gefeiert. Beim Montes Folly – einem 100-prozentigen Shiraz – war das im Jahr 2000 nicht anders. Und auch der Purple Angel (92% Carménère), 2005 eingeführt, ist von Beginn an ein großer Erfolg.

La Finca de Apalta ist das Herzstück von Viña Montes. Auf 135 Hektar wachsen die Apalta -Trauben Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Shiraz, Malbec, Petit Verdot und Cabernet Franc. In jüngerer Zeit kamen Mourvèdre, Grenache und Carignan hinzu.

The Kaiken Malbec Ultra is deep purple-red in the glass. A multi-layered bouquet with an intense scent of violets, spicy aromas of forest fruits, mocha (dark chocolate, coffee) and clear mineral notes.Silky texture, excellent structure with round, sweetish tannins, perfectly balanced on the palate, very pleasant and incredibly long - a truly authentic expression of the Mendoza terroir.The grapes for the vegan Montes Viña Kaiken Ultra are gently fermented and the young wine is then matured for twelve months in 100% French oak barrels. In order to preserve its original taste as fully as possible, Kaiken is only lightly filtered before bottling.Enjoy Kaiken Ultra Malbec with strong meat dishes with (hot) spicy sauces and equally strong cheeses or with rich, chocolaty desserts. We recommend opening the dry red wine 30-45 minutes before drinking.

Delheim Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Blackberry and plum aromas, backed by undertones of dark chocolate and vanilla. The wine is elegant and lingers on the palate.Fermentation with selected yeast strains. Temperature was maintained at 25-28°C. Pump-overs were conducted 4 times a day until fermented dry. The wine was matured for 13 months in French oak, and then bottled with a screw cap.

Kaiken Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Like "Kaikenes" - Patagonian wild geese that cross the Andes between Chile and Argentina - the famous Viña Montes winery has also made the journey from Chile to Argentina to make the Kaiken project a success. Kaiken uses vines from the best vineyards in Argentina to create its wines - including sites in Maipú, Cruz de Piedra, Ugarteche, Agrelo and Valle de Uco. For the Kaiken Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon, the grapes in Agrelo and Valle de Uco were hand-picked into small 15 kg crates and also carefully sorted by hand.The blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot has a deep, dark red-violet color with a purple sheen. On the nose, it offers the classic Cabernet aromas of red fruit and plum, elegantly underlaid with the fine violet scent of Malbec and perfectly integrated oak notes. On the palate, Cabernet Sauvignon delivers the juicy dark berry flavors, Malbec complements with silky ripe tannins and Petit Verdot completes the blend with clear structure and depth, powerful with rich, fresh fruit. The finish has a lovely length.Enjoy this dry red wine, 50% of which has matured for ten months in French oak barrels, with hearty roast lamb or beef in a red wine sauce, grilled beef steaks, spicy pasta dishes and spicy matured cheese.

Kaiken Malbec

The Kaiken Estate Malbec comes from the Agrelo vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, around 40 km south of Mendoza. The region's warm daytime climate and cool nights produce grapes with good freshness and aromatic fruit. The deep clay soils support a balanced red wine with soft tannins and a pleasant structure.The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in concrete tanks after destemming. Part of the wine matures for a few months in French oak barrels, while the larger part is matured without wood contact. This keeps the wine juicy and fruity, with a subtle spiciness and soft tannins.In the glass, the Kaiken Malbec is a deep ruby red. The nose is dominated by aromas of plums and cherries, supported by light floral notes. On the palate, the Malbec is fresh, balanced and easily accessible.It is ideal with grilled or roasted meat, pasta with strong sauces or semi-mature cheese.
