Der Glarea, ein hundertprozentiger Chardonnay, wurde mit Jahrgang 2020 erstmals von der Cantina Tramin vinifiziert. Der Name Glarea stammt aus dem Rätoromanischen und bedeutet Kies. Eindeutiger Hinweis auf den Boden auf dem die Reben stehen. Der Kiesboden sorgt für eine sehr starke Mineralität des Weines. Durch die Hanglage der Weinberge und starke Fallwinde kühlen die Trauben nachts und in den frühen Morgenstunden stark ab. Tagsüber ist es in der Regel sehr heiß, sodass für einen entsprechenden Temperaturausgleich gesorgt wird. Der Glarea profitiert davon durch eine besondere Frische und Balance. Die Gärung und Reifung erfolgte in unterschiedlich großen Holzfässern, was dem Wein nicht nur eine Langlebigkeit, sondern auch gute Struktur verleiht.Typisch strohgelb leuchtet der Glarea mit grünlichen Reflexen im Glas. Der Weißwein duftet intensiv nach Banane, Ananas und getrockneten Aprikosen. Am Gaumen ist der Wein saftig und frisch. Besonders prägt ihn seine außergewöhnliche Mineralität. To secure the future of many small local winegrowers, the Tramin cooperative was founded in 1898 in South Tyrol, Italy. Today, 170 winegrowing families cultivate a total of around 270 hectares of the winegrowing region and adhere to their philosophy of work and life, which is reflected in their wines: A sense of duty, commitment, confidence and creativity.The Goldmuskateller grape for the white wine of the same name from Cantina Tramin grows on slopes between 250 and 550 meters above sea level. The soils of the vineyards here are rich in limestone and have loamy to gravelly-loamy soils. The local terroir also includes strong temperature fluctuations between day and night. The night wind from the surrounding mountains provides the necessary cooling.After the harvest, the grapes were carefully pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 19°C. The Cantina Tramin Lagrein Rosso unites notes of violets and blackberries in its bouquet. On the palate, the red wine from South Tyrol is full-bodied and velvety, with slightly dry nuances. Cantina Tramin Loam Cabernet-Merlot Riserva 2022

The Loam Cabernet Merlot Riserva consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. This is a cuvée that could have been produced in the Bordeaux region. The method of ageing is also similar to that used in Bordeaux. After a meticulous harvest by hand, the grapes are fermented in large wooden casks at a temperature of 82.4 °F, leading to an intense aroma and colour, amongst other things. The ageing was carried out in small barriques for a period of 12 months. Subsequently, the wine matured for six months in large wooden casks. It was put on the market only after ageing another six months in the bottle. The special quality of the grapes, the interaction of the different grape varieties and the careful production guarantee the longevity of the Loam. This wine will be extraordinary even in ten years. The Cantina Tramin Loam Cabernet-Merlot Riserva is fruity and well-balanced. The intense but fine tannins are wonderfully integrated, giving the wine power, balance and an enormous depth.The Loam is a ruby red in colour. On the nose, it offers fruity, slightly astringent aromas of wild cherries, chocolate and various berries, complemented by notes of wild herbs. Each sip caresses the palate with aromas of red berries, dried fruit and subtle hints of cedar. The tannins underpin the finish with a blend of mineral and salty nuances.Enjoy the Cantina Tramin Loam with roasts with dark sauces, game or hearty grilled meat. Cantina Tramin Nussbaumer Gewürztraminer 2022

The Nussbaumer estate is located in Sella, a small village above Tramin. Vineyards here are planted between 350 - 550 meters on the slopes below the Roen mountains, an ideal position to benefit from fresh, drying wind that blows from Lake Garda during the entiregrowing season. The soil is made up of clay and gravel, with a limestone layer from 20 - 100 cm and porphyry subsoil.The grapes were harvested in small bins, then gently crushed and left to macerate with their juice for a brief period to capture the characteristic aromatics of Gewürztraminer.After pressing, the must is left to ferment at a controlled temperature (18-20°C) in stainless steel tanks.Nussbaumer has a long history of over 700 years of winegrowing, and it is one of the oldest estates in Tramin. Our selection of Gewürztraminer from this estate embodies all the characteristics of this variety: an intense, bright straw-yellow color, and notes of fragrant rose petals, cinnamon, ripe tropical fruits and carnations. The engaging aromas offer hints of spice that lift the lush palate.Food Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, the wine is perfect with seafood, particularly Asian cuisine. Cantina Tramin Rungg Merlot-Cabernet 2023
