Der Hess Select Chardonnay kommt aus dem Monterey Valley in den USA. Die Weinberge von dem Weingut The Hess Collection sind bekannt dafür, dass sie Jahr für Jahr wundervoll strukturierte, saftige Chardonnays mit erfrischender Säure hervorzubringen. Dieser Wein stammt aus der Hess Select Series, welche von den erfahrensten Winzern mit viel Liebe und Leidenschaft vinifiziert wird und zugleich weltbekannte Chardonnays aus Kalifornien hervorbringt.Im Glas ist der reinsortige Chardonnay gelblich mit goldenen Reflexen. Das Bouquet wird von tropischen Früchten geprägt. Dieser trockene Weißwein präsentiert sich würzig und ausgesprochen fruchtig mit Aromen grüner Äpfel sowie Noten reifer Birnen, Pfirsiche und Zitrusnoten. Holden Manz Big G 2020

The ruby-red Holden Manz Big G is a tribute to the owner of the winery Gerard Holden, a strong, powerful and energetic man - like the wine, a full-flavoured and full-bodied Bordeaux blend. The wine, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is well-balanced, very well-structured and powerful. The grapes were picked by hand and only the best grapes from selected plots in the different vineyards were taken to create the Holden Manz Big G. The wine underwent a malolactic fermentation in French casks, of which 30% were new and 70% were used barrels. Subsequently, the wine was aged for another 24 months in wooden casks. The Holden Manz Big G offers aromas of black cherries, red plums, mint, bilberries and cedar in its bouquet, along with hints of pine and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, it shows noticeable but soft tannins that unite with creamy notes of cassis. The prolonged finish is characterised by a splendid fullness of dark fruit. The Holden Manz Big G is an excellent accompaniment to dried meat or Beef Wellington.

Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Der Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon hat eine rubinrote Farbe mit scharlachrotem Rand. Er duftet intensiv nach Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren, frischen Tabakblättern und ein wenig nach Cassis. Ergänzt von schwarzem Lakritz und Zeder und Noten von verschiedenen Gewürzen. Der erste Gaumeneindruck ist reichhaltig und voll mit vielen komplexen dunklen Früchten. Im Mund zeigt der Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon danach eine unglaubliche Breite, Komplexität und Tiefe, was zu einem langen, vollen Abgang führt. Die feinen Tannine verbinden sich mit einer ausgewogenen Säure. Für die Reifung lagerte der Wein 22 Monate in 225-Liter-Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Dafür kamen 30% neue Fässer und 70% Fässer zweiter und dritter Füllung zum Einsatz. Speisenempfehlung: Langsam gekochter geschmorter Ochsenschwanz mit Butterbohnen oder Rosmarin-Lammkoteletts mit Frühkartoffeln.

The Holden Manz Rosé is a light, crisp wine in the distinctive Provence rosé style, made of the typical Grenache, Shiraz and Cinsault grape varieties, amongst others. Its colour recalls light onion skin. On the nose, the wine offers notes of lychees, strawberries and various tropical fruit, along with aromas of rose petals, orange peel and grapefruit. The Holden Manz Rosé is wonderfully fruity and refreshingly dry on the palate, offering aromas of raspberries, pineapple and lavender. The solid but fine acidity gives this summer wine a creamy and prolonged finish.The Holden Manz Rosé goes beautifully with sushi, slightly smoked salmon with cème fraîche or beetroot salad.

Holden Manz Vernissage 2021

The Holden Manz Vernissage is a cuvée consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety gives the wine a lovely structure and particularly elegant tannins. Shiraz and Merlot provide notes of spices and fruit aromas, which are mainly characterised by nuances of dark cherries and plums. The wine is a light ruby-red, developing into a clear red towards the rim in the glass. The Holden Manz Vernissage has a balanced acidity and shows vivid aromas of cassis, tobacco and spice, giving the wine a very good balance. Its finish is soft and long-lasting. Winemaker Thierry Haberer selected the grapes from various vineyards with different types of soil. The grapes were harvested when fully ripe, thus giving the wine a wonderful complexity. After the careful blending of the single batches and grape varieties and the numerous tastings involved, Thierry finally created this expressive, balanced and very fruity Holden Manz Vernissage. The wine matured for 18 months in 225-litre French oak casks. Enjoy the wine with lamb stews with garlic sauce or grilled polenta.

Holden Manz Visionaire 2019

The name ‘Holden Manz Visionaire’ stands for something special. It represents the attempt to create an expressive wine consisting of 6 different grape varieties - and the winery succeeded! The interaction of the single grape varieties was a real challenge for the winemaker as he had to take the most diverse aspects into consideration. The grapes were selected from various vineyards with different types of soil. The ageing was carried out in 225-litre French oak casks, of which 20% were new and 80% were second- and third-fill barrels. The wines were aged for 24 months before they were blended and bottled, resulting in a wine of extreme complexity that shows a perfect balance between residual sugar and acidity. On the nose, it pampers your senses with a variety of aromas such as notes of mulberries and currants as well as fine nuances of white pepper and violets. The Holden Manz Visionaire is elegant and smooth on the palate, with a medium body. The palate is predominantly characterised by notes of red and black fruit and an exceptional minerality, wonderfully rounded off by skilfully integrated, strong tannins.
