Insgesamt gefiel uns an diesem La Couronne, wie präzise und fein er vinifiziert wurde.Durch seine elegante Struktur und sein vielschichtiges Aroma bietet der La Couronne 2019 ein hervorragendes Lagerpotenzial, kann aber auch jung getrunken werden. Dieser Wein passt hervorragend zu Gerichten wie gegrilltem Lamm, Rindfleisch oder gereiftem Käse und bietet eine erstklassige Verkörperung der Saint-Émilion-Weinkultur.

Château La Maroutine AOC 2018

Die alkoholische Gärung dieses zu 80% aus Merlot und zu 20% aus Cabernet Sauvignon bestehenden Rebsaftes dauert zwischen 8 bis 10 Tagen, mit zweimaligem Umpumpen am Tag. Dies unterstützt die optimale Extraktion der Aromen. Es folgt eine lange Mazeration von 25 bis 30 Tagen. Die malolaktische Gärung erfolgt in Tanks. Dort reift er weiter für etwa 18 Monate, bis er schließlich abgefüllt wird.Der Château La Maroutine 2018 überzeugt durch eine rubinrote Farbe. Die Nase zeigt charmante Kirschnoten und Kaffee- sowie Röstaromen. Am Gaumen vermittelt dieser Bordeaux eher einen weichen, vollen und runden Stil, wobei die Tannine zwar präsent, aber geschliffen und samtig sind. Der Merlot wirkt hier gut gereift und verführt mit schöner, dichter Frucht.Ein klassischer Bordeaux, der jetzt bis 2025 auf der Höhe der Trinkreife sein dürfte.Ein Genuß in geselliger Runde, aber auch sehr gut im food-pairing mit Gulasch, Braten oder zur Käseplatte.

Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc AOP 2023

The Château La Nerthe estate is one of the most venerable wineries of the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and with its 222 acres of vineyards one of the largest estates in this region. The estate’s history dates back to the 14th century. From the beginning, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been synonymous with outstanding wines from the Côtes du Rhône region.This also applies to the excellent 2020 vintage. The fully ripe grapes were harvested by hand so that they could preserve their balance and full aromas. The pressing occurred carefully and under constant control. The fermentation was also meticulously carried out at low temperatures in order to maintain the aromas.The Roussanne grapes were aged in oak casks, of which one third were new barrels. The La Nerthe 2020 is a cuvée consisting of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, and was produced on a purely organic basis. The wine matured for 9 months, remaining in contact with the yeast. It was blended only a short time before bottling.The Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 is a pale lemon in colour. On the nose, it offers aromas of stone fruit (peach, apricot) and white flowers. It is wonderfully complex on the palate, showing notes of citrus fruit (lime) and exotic fruit (pineapple, mango), with a good balance between acidity and richness. The wine is elegant, with an expressive finish that offers long-lasting, spicy and mineral notes.The Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 is a wonderful and harmonious accompaniment to fish with butter sauce, seafood and poultry.

Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AOP 2020

This classic Côtes du Rhône of the exceptional 2017 vintage is produced by one of the oldest wineries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (AOC) that was founded in 1936. The Château La Nerthe estate had its origins in the 14th century and owns one of the region’s largest vineyards, covering an area of more than 222 acres.Tradition and attention to detail are of central importance. The grapes are harvested by hand and subsequently sorted on the table. The fermentation is carried out in tubs for a period of 18 to 21 days with regular pumping over and pressing down of the pomace as well as daily tasting of the must in order to reach the optimal extraction level. For malolactic fermentation, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 was put in oak casks and subsequently aged in barrels for 12 months, giving the wine its deep red colour. On the nose, it offers fragrances of black currants, black tea and dried flowers. The wine is full-bodied, fruity and very rich on the palate, showing a great body. All in all, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 has a very pure and intense character.We recommend enjoying this wonderful Châteauneuf-du-Pape with lamb, beef or duck.

This Côtes du Rhône Villages AOP is an extraordinary wine. The team of the La Nerthe winery, which has been based in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region since the 14th century, maintains the Les Cassagnes vineyards located in Sérignan-du-Comtat, France. The grapes for this wine are selected exclusively from the best parcels of land. The soil consists of sand, clay and limestone, providing natural filtration and creating full-bodied, well-balanced wines.The grapes come from vines with an average age of more than 40 years. This cuvée consists mainly of Grenache Noir, Shiraz and a smaller percentage of Mourvèdre.The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a further selection process upon arrival in the cellar. Subsequently, the grape varieties are fermented separately for a period of three weeks. The extraction is carried out very carefully in order to maintain the fruit aromas and to preserve a good tannin structure. Before bottling, the wine finally matures for 9 months in stainless steel tanks, remaining in contact with the yeast.The Les Cassagnes AOP Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is a deep, dark red in colour. On the palate, it impresses wine connoisseurs with an appealing body that’s not overly full, showing a very silky texture. Aromas of red berries, wonderful notes recalling perfume and sweet nuances of spices lead to an exquisite, prolonged finish.Served at a drinking temperature of 14-16°C (57.2-60.8 °F), the Les Cassagnes goes beautifully with grilled lamb or beef, pasta Bolognese or ratatouille. We recommend enjoying this wine with ‘Tian’, a vegetable gratin speciality from the Provence region, made of tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, thyme and oregano. Simply delicious!

Château La Tour Carnet Grand Cru Classé AOC 2020

This Bordeaux from the Haut-Médoc appellation was classified as a 4ème Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. It is a wine for connoisseurs, a head of character with rough edges, which, however, become somewhat smoother with ageing. The quality of the wines from La Tour Carnet has risen extraordinarily since Bernard Magrez took over in 1999.The nose is beautifully fruity with hints of black pepper, blueberries, morello cherries and blackcurrants, as well as mushrooms, leather and prunes. It comes across as quite powerful and juicy, but still shows a rather impetuous power, which will, however, subside. Overall, there is a lot of potential here for a long wine life, with already well-integrated tannins and a long finish.It is recommended to decant the wine, which was vinified from 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 70% Merlot, at least one hour before drinking.

Château Labégorce, located at the northern end of Margaux, is back on the map of the great wines of this appellation, and the 2018 vintage is no exception, quite the contrary. The vineyard extends over 70 hectares of vines, surrounded by such prestigious neighbors as Château Margaux and Château Lascombes.The cuvée consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine matures for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 40-50% of which are new barrels. In the glass, Château Labégorce 2018 is a deep purple-garnet with a black center. The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of ripe blackcurrants, cherries and cassis, accompanied by spicy notes such as tobacco, exotic woods and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky texture and well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and characterized by a subtle fruity sweetness and a pleasant freshness.Château Labégorce 2018 harmonizes perfectly with hearty dishes such as grilled beef, lamb chops, game dishes or stews. Matured cheese or black pudding also go well with this wine. For a special taste experience, we recommend pairing it with truffle aioli chicken hearts or wild boar with wild herb sauce.This wine has excellent ageing potential. Consisting of 46% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, Château Labégorce is a model wine from the Margaux appellation with a great price-performance ratio. 2019 was a particularly good year on the left bank of the Gironde, enabling this vineyard, located on the northern edge of Margaux, to produce an exceptional grape juice of great precision and intensity.The 2019 Labégorce was matured in French oak, 40% of which was new barrels. Lots of blackcurrant, dark fruit, tobacco, coffee beans, dark cherry, chocolate, menthol, liquorice and beautiful roasted aromas create a harmonious aromatic picture, supported by fine and polished tannins. Château Labégorce Margaux 2020 is an excellent representative of the renowned Margaux appellation in the heart of the Bordeaux region in south-west France. Château Labégorce, whose roots date back to the 18th century, stands for elegance, sophistication and a deep understanding of traditional Bordeaux winemaking. The 2020 vintage benefited from a particularly favorable climate: a warm, dry summer with occasional rainfall in August ensured optimally ripened grapes with excellent concentration and freshness.The 2020 cuvée is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (45%), supplemented by smaller proportions of Petit Verdot (2%) and Cabernet Franc (3%) - a classic composition that reflects the character of Margaux wines.In the glass, the wine is a deep, dark ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, it unfolds a complex interplay of aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum and cherry, accompanied by fine notes of cedar wood, licorice, tobacco and roasted coffee - a typical expression of the careful barrique maturation.On the palate, Château Labégorce 2020 is powerful and elegant at the same time. The finish is long and balanced, with a hint of graphite and elegant wood notes.Château Labégorce 2020 is considered by many critics to be one of the best vintages of the house in the last decade. Renowned wine critics such as James Suckling awarded it up to 92-93 points, while Wine Advocate and Vinous also emphasized the wine's balance and depth. The excellent ageing potential is particularly praised: the wine is already accessible now, but promises a rewarding development in the bottle over the next 15 to 20 years.
