Thelema „The Mint“ 2021

Der Thelema The Mint stammt aus der Region Stellenbosch in Südafrika. Der Wein hat eine lange Tradition und gehört bewiesenermaßen zu den besten Cabernet Sauvignons des Landes.Der Ursprung des „Mint“-Charakters wird auf die Luftübertragung von Eukalyptusbäumen, die an diesen speziellen Cabernet Sauvignon Weinberg grenzen, auf die Trauben zurückgeführt. Die äußere Wachsschicht der Beeren adsorbiert Eukalyptol, eine Verbindung, die für das Aroma verantwortlich ist und von den Bäumen an die Luft abgegeben wird. Anschließend löst es sich während des Gärungsprozesses auf den Schalen auf und verleiht dem Wein unweigerlich einen „minzigen“ Charakter, der für diesen Weinberg einzigartig ist. Im Glas zeigt der Wein ein tiefes Dunkelrot. Die Nase ist geprägt von Aromen von reifen roten Beeren, Cassis und dunkler Schokolade. Am Gaumen ergänzt dann ein Hauch von Minze den opulenten Gesamteindruck. Der Wein hat feine Tannine mit einem langen Mokka-Abgang.Durch die Reifung für 18 Monate im Holzfass, wobei 40% neue französische Eiche und 60% ältere Fässer zum Einsatz kamen, erhält der Thelema The Mint Tiefe und Langlebigkeit. The Thelema Merlot is an elegant, full-bodied red wine from the renowned vineyards of South Africa.It embodies a remarkable balance between gentle elegance and lively fruitiness. Ripe red cherries and juicy plums dominate the aroma and make for a seductive start that promises a tasty experience. The palate is round and harmonious, with a lingering, graceful finish that impressively underlines the finesse of the wine.During vinification, the grapes are carefully destemmed to preserve as many whole berries as possible. After fermentation in steel tanks, the wine is drawn off, transferred to storage tanks and placed in French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. The Thelema Merlot is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new barrels and the rest in older barrels, which adds depth, complexity and subtle spice.This Merlot is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, game, hearty stews or mature cheese. It is best enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C to experience the full spectrum of aromas.

Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Lagrein Alto Adige DOC 2022

Noten von Veilchen, Kirschen und auch Schokolade prägen das Bukett des Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Lagrein. Der Rotwein aus Südtirol ist am Gaumen voll und rund. Die feinkörnigen Gerbstoffe und die belebende Säure harmonieren wunderbar. Die autochthone Rebsorte Südtirols entfaltet hier ihre Qualitäten und verführt mit ihrer samtigen Fülle und der feinen Säure.Im Glas schimmert der reinsortige Lagrein in einem kräftigen Granatrot mit violetten Reflexen. Die Trauben für diesen Rotwein stammen von Hanglagen in Entiklar und Kurtatsch. Die Rebstöcke wurden zum Teil bereits 1967 angepflanzt. Acht Monate reifte der Lagrein im großen und kleinen Holzfass.
