Der Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Premium Edition aus der Serie Uno des Weingutes Masseria la Volpe ist der Flagship-Wein dieser Linie. Ein erhabener Primitivo von einzigartiger Qualität. Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet und schon im Weinberg vorselektiert. Das garantiert, dass nur die besten Trauben für die Edition verwendet werden. Die Lese findet bewusst erst Anfang Oktober statt, um eine höhere Geschmacksintensität der Trauben zu gewährleisten. Der Grund dafür ist, dass die Trauben auf natürliche Weise bereits einiges an Flüssigkeit verloren haben und so viel intensiver und konzentrierter sind. Dadurch entsteht nach der Gärung und Reifung auch der hohe Alkoholgehalt. Neben einer 12-monatigen Reifung im Eichenfass, reift der Wein für mindestens weitere 12 Monate auf der Flasche.Im Glas zeigt sich ein dunkles Rubinrot mit einer fast schwarzen Mitte. Der Masseria la Volpe Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Premium Edition duftet Intensiv nach reifen Früchten, wie Pflaumen, dunklen Kirschen und Brombeeren, sowie Pfeffer. Aus der Fassreifung entstehen leicht süßliche Gewürznoten. Der Geschmack ist kräftig und intensiv mit würzigen Anklängen, dazu Lakritze, Tabak und Vanille. Der Wein zeichnet sich durch eine großartige Ausgewogenheit aus, wobei die extrem reichhaltige und reife Frucht perfekt mit Säure und Tanninen harmoniert. Matsu El Picaro 2024

The Matsu El Picaro comes from the wine-growing region of Toro in northwestern Spain. This young wine is a pure varietal Tempranillo, which is known as Tinta de Toro in the Toro region. The grapes are biodynamically cultivated. The wine is an intense purple in the glass. Its bouquet is characterised by persistent aromas of black fruit such as blackberries or bilberries. The mineral notes are wonderfully fresh and complex, surrounded by a light sweetness. Fruit and fullness predominate on the palate as well, resulting from the ripe grapes. Despite its youth, the wine is extremely full-bodied and powerful, due to the ageing in French oak casks and the fact that aggressive filtering and clarification were deliberately avoided.The Matsu El Picaro is vegan and a marvellous delight to enjoy on its own but is also a good accompaniment to moderately hearty dishes.

The Meerlust Merlot comes from the traditional Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch - a wine estate that has been synonymous with top South African wines for centuries. This single-varietal Merlot cuvée impressively demonstrates how complex and long-lasting the grape variety can be vinified in the cooler locations of the Cape Winelands.The wine shines a deep ruby red in the glass. Intense aromas of black plums, dark cherries and fine herbs unfold on the nose, accompanied by hints of mocha, tobacco and subtle spice. On the palate, the Merlot is powerful and juicy with ripe, dark fruit flavors and a present but elegant acidity. Notes of cherry tobacco, black pepper and delicate wood provide multi-layered depth. The finish is long, structured and supported by fine-grained tannins - a wine with excellent ageing potential.The wine is aged for a total of 18 months: first, the individual vineyards are vinified separately and matured in small French barriques. After blending, the wine is matured further in oak, with around 40% new wood being used. The wine is then further refined in the bottle before being sold.Meerlust Merlot is an excellent accompaniment to braised lamb, fillet of beef with mushroom jus, mature hard cheese or pasta with dark sauces. Enjoy it at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.The Meerlust Merlot has an intense, dark color in the glass. The bouquet combines notes of brambly fruit, mulberry, licorice and damson plum, with a hint of dark chocolate and spices. On the palate, this red wine offers generous Merlot fruit, with structured acidity and yet soft tannins, as well as a pronounced length and minerality.The Merlot from the Meerlust winery is an excellent accompaniment to red meat, game and strong cheeses.

The Menade Nossa Tempranillo is a unique, biodynamically produced red wine from Castilla y León, made by the prestigious Bodega Menade. This wine follows the philosophy of natural viticulture, without the addition of sulphur or artificial intervention - an authentic expression of the grape variety and the terroir. The grapes come from old vineyards in Castilla y León, where the vines grow on barren, chalky soils. Menade's winegrowers consistently focus on sustainable and organic cultivation in order to preserve the natural vitality of the soil.After manual harvesting, around 20% of the grapes are processed as whole bunches, while the rest are destemmed and gently pressed. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with wild yeasts in small stainless steel tanks. The wine then rests for several months, without fining or filtration, before being bottled unfiltered.The Nossa de Menade Natural Tempranillo has a deep ruby red color with violet reflections in the glass. The bouquet is intense and multi-layered, with aromas of ripe red berries, black cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle notes of violets, tobacco and a hint of Mediterranean herbs.On the palate, this red wine is wonderfully lively with a perfect balance of juicy fruit, fine tannins and a fresh acidity that gives it elegance and structure. Winemaker Stefano Chiarlo is rightly proud of the Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Barbera Nizza. "A wine with intense notes of raspberries and small red fruits, combined with a sweet and delicate spiciness. The taste experience is a rare balance (thanks to the vintage) between opulence, freshness and spiciness on the finish." International wine critics also agree that Barbera d'Asti is something special: 94 points in Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from James Suckling speak for themselves.The varietal Barbera combines notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and sweet tobacco in its bouquet.
