The Malavasi Nero del Lago shimmers with an intense ruby red hue in the glass. This single-varietal Petit Verdot from the Lake Garda region offers connoisseurs a wonderfully complex bouquet that gradually unfolds. Notes of ripe cherries and plums, combined with hints of dried fruits such as dates and sultanas, create an enticing bouquet. A subtle spiciness and hints of violets round out the bouquet.

On the palate, this Italian red wine is fresh and velvety, with noticeably ripe tannins and fruit-forward aromas. Notes of blueberries and blackberries characterize the soft finish. The Malavasi Nero del Lago has a good texture and lovely fruit sweetness. The finish features subtle leather notes.

Legendary Italian wine critic Luca Maroni awards 94 points to this red wine from the Malavasi family winery.
