Der Knipser Blauer Spätburgunder trocken duftet wunderbar facettenreich nach Himbeeren und Kirschen sowie Nuancen von Zigarrenkiste und Espressopulver. Am Gaumen ist der über 12 Monate im gebrauchten Barrique ausgebaute Rotwein aus der Pfalz fein und zugleich kräftig, mit einer guten Struktur. Der Spätburgunder wurde aus Trauben verschiedener Weinberge rund um Laumersheim komponiert.

The KWV Roodeberg Red Blend from what is probably South Africa's most famous winery is legendary. Wine lovers from all continents love the red blend, the exact composition of which is the winemaker's secret. La Bri's cuvée The Affinity is more than the sum of its parts: The wine is only produced at all if the individual grape varieties come together in perfect harmony - which is why entire vintages (2018 and 2019) were deliberately omitted. The result: a carefully composed, richly structured Bordeaux blend that reflects South African winemaking at the highest level.Cabernet Sauvignon dominates in this powerful yet polished blend, complemented by Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe berries and fine mocha, while the palate is velvety smooth with fine-grained tannins and a fresh, supporting acid structure. A red wine of depth, complexity and remarkable balance.The four grape varieties were vinified separately and then matured for 18 months in French barriques, 10% of which were new. With the Double Door range, La Bri creates space for creative wines beyond rigid conventions - as is the case with this powerful, multi-layered red wine cuvée. The Double Door Red Blend combines 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc to create a harmonious whole with structure, finesse and elegance.Only grapes from the estate were used for this wine. After fermentation, the individual batches matured for 24 months in used French barriques before being blended into a precisely balanced cuvée. La Bri Syrah is an aromatic red wine from Franschhoek full of character, reminiscent of the great tradition of the Côte Rôtie thanks to the combination of Syrah and a hint of Viognier. A beguiling bouquet of lavender, thyme, violets and oriental spices unfolds in the glass - like a walk through a Mediterranean herb garden.The two grape varieties were harvested together in the last week of February and co-fermented to achieve a particularly intense interplay of aromas. Malolactic fermentation took place in barrels, after which the wine matured for 24 months in selected French oak barrels of 225 and 300 liters. This maturation gives the wine structure, depth and silky tannins.On the palate, La Bri Syrah is multi-layered, with dark fruit, floral notes and fine herbal spice. The tannins are polished and harmoniously integrated, while the acidity provides freshness and elegance.
