Meerlust Pinot Noir

The Meerlust Pinot Noir comes from the historic Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch, which is known for its characterful wines. This Pinot Noir embodies the terroir of South Africa with elegance and finesse.

In the glass, the wine displays a brilliant ruby red color. The nose is treated to intense aromas of red berries such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle notes of spices, dried herbs, and a hint of earthy nuances. On the palate, it is silky with well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, harmonious finish.

The hand-harvested grapes come from the cooler plots of the Meerlust vineyard. After careful selection, fermentation takes place in open tanks to optimally preserve the aromas. This red wine is then aged in French barriques, which lend it a subtle spiciness and additional structure.

The Meerlust Pinot Noir is a versatile pairing for meals. It pairs superbly with braised duck, rack of lamb, grilled tuna, or mushroom risotto. It is also an excellent choice with medium-bodied cheeses.

An expressive Pinot Noir with a South African character—ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate refined, elegant wines.

Meerlust Wine Estate

Letzterer reift sechs Monate in gebrauchten Barriques.
