Glenwood Vigneron’s Selection Shiraz 2024

The Glenwood Vigneron's Selection Shiraz is the product of the only Shiraz parcel of the Glenwood vineyard. Thanks to careful care and ideally balanced growth, the grapes develop even ripeness and an excellent structure, which form the basis for a complex premium wine.The best grapes are selected, gently pressed and fermented in half-barrel open fermenters, with the mash being punched down by hand three times a day. After fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and matures for 12 months in 2nd-fill French oak, giving it a harmonious, complex aromatic profile.Deep ruby red in color, the Shiraz presents an intense bouquet of dark berries and chocolate. On the palate, the Glenwood Vigneron's Selection Shiraz is juicy, full-bodied and multi-layered, with aromas of cassis, blackberries and stewed fruit that linger for a long time.Enjoy this red wine with grilled or braised beef, lamb or spicy hard cheeses - ideally served at 16-18 °C to fully develop its depth and complexity.

Der Gorgo Bardolino DOC ist ein Bio Rotwein, der aus den traditionellen, regionalen Rebsorten Corvina, Rondinella und Molinara auf dem italienischen Weingut Gorgo hergestellt wird. Jung gefällt er mit Fruchtigkeit, doch mit den Jahren legt er an Komplexität zu und bringt auch würzige Noten ins Spiel. Er ist der geselligste, frischeste aller Rotweine aus dem Gebiet von Verona und schmeckt solo ebenso wie zu den Mahlzeiten, bei denen er eine großartige Figur macht.Der Gorgo Bardolino DOC leuchtet rubinrot. In der Nase zeigt er sich fruchtbetont mit Noten von Kirsche, Heidelbeere und Johannisbeere. Vor allem durch den Ausbau kommen Anklänge an Gewürz hinzu. Im Geschmack ist er weich, mit feiner und dauerhafter Tanninstruktur, körperreich und süffig.Ein besonderer Genuß ist dieser Rotwein bei einer Trinktemperatur von 15-18°. Der Bardolino eignet sich wunderbar als Begleiter zu Suppen, Pasta mit Fleischsauce, gegrilltem Fleisch und jungem Käse.

The multi-faceted, stimulating bouquet hints at ripe dark berries, cherry jam and prunes, rounded off by fine notes of menthol, cinnamon, cloves and nuances of oak as well. On the palate, the Gran Rosso Salento Negroamaro Primitivo shows a soft, round and full body, a great balance and an impressive, prolonged, spicy finish. Die Hacienda Monasterio hat von Anfang an mit Peter Sissek zusammengearbeitet und so Pflanzung und Weinbergsarbeit ökologisch gestaltet. Der Ertrag wird bewusst niedrig gehalten um die angestrebte hohe Qualität an Traubenmaterial zu erhalten. Die Cosecha von Hacienda Monasterio ist ein absolut konzentrierter und mächtiger Rotwein.Der Wein verfügt über eine tiefviolette Farbe. Die Nase präsentiert sich mit einem dichten Duftbogen von Kaffee- und Toastnoten. Eingeschlossen von Fruchtnoten der Kirsche, Pflaume und Waldbeere. Nach einiger Zeit kommen Schokoladennoten und der Duft von Zigarre hinzu. Am Gaumen beginnt der Hacienda Monasterio Cosecha mit enorm viel Schmelz um dann zwischen reifen Fruchtnoten und ausgewogener Säure an der Zunge zu spielen. Feine Gewürznoten werden getragen vom stoffig, kraftvollen Körper. Im Finale zeigen sich Aromen von Lakritz und etwas Zimt.Dieser Rotwein verbrachte über 18 Monate in französischen Barriques, wovon etwa ein Drittel Erstbelegung waren, was unter anderen zur langen Lagerfähigkeit beiträgt.Genießen Sie den Cosecha von Hacienda Monasterio zu Rehrücken oder anderen Wildgerichten.

The Hall Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine full of character from the USA, more precisely from the renowned Paso Robles wine-growing region on California's Central Coast. The region is known for its warm, sunny climate with cool nights, which provides ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and results in fully ripe grapes with an intense aroma and rather mild acidity. Hall Ranch established itself in the early 1990s as a new winery that wanted to bring the pioneering spirit of California into the wine glass with a fresh spirit.In the glass, the wine is a deep ruby red. The nose reveals aromas of dark berries, particularly blackcurrant and ripe cherry, complemented by subtle spicy notes, slight hints of vanilla, cocoa and toasted wood, which indicate that the wine has been aged in barrels. On the palate, the Hall Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and juicy, with pronounced fruit, well-integrated, soft tannins and a pleasant structure. The finish is round and of medium length, with a good balance between fruit, spice and a subtle woody character.Overall, this wine represents good to very good quality in the style of a modern Californian Cabernet Sauvignon: fruit-driven, accessible and yet with sufficient depth and structure. We are convinced of this grape juice as a "total work of art", because rarely has a wine impressed us so much with its harmony and coherent appearance.
